The part where he talked about giving MJ a bath gave me a boner when I was a kid.

Why doesn't Venom look as amazing today as he was when i was a kid? Is it because I grew up or because Mcfarlane/Bagley nailed the look and it'll never be as cool again?

Its not just you. Marvel have only attempted to make Venom even bigger and more monsterous looking, almost to the point where he can't even maintain a solid form for more than a few panels. I think it all started to go to shit when Bagley and Bendis decided to make Venom look like a blob of mass covering some scrawny undergraduate oppose to the form fitting beefcake from before. And since then, Venom's design just went further to shit.
