Not even a bit really. His dialogue is so wearing in Batman especially Batman/Catwoman that I can't imagine this is going to come over well.

There's no sense of fun or optimism to it and that's critical for B&M. His actual cosmic adventure is gritty politicking and his domestic series was grim inevitability. That works for Apokolips but Scott and Barda need to transcend that and not in a "I'm MISTER MIRACLE" *headbutt* way.

This was actually one of three guesses I made in a conversation last week at my local comic shop.

I figured King would reference the character he would be writing somewhere in Batman, so my guesses were Legion of Superheroes (Saturn Girl in Batman #9), Mister Miracle (he helped design the door Batman hid Psycho Pirate behind) or Swamp Thing (will be in Batman #23). I'd be happy with any of the three, so I'm pretty excited.
