The show is complete shit because it abandons the original premise to become a bastardization of itself as soon as it ascends from pilot to full series, and then halfway through abandons the premise entirely to focus on the character's antics.
When I first saw the Uncle Grandpa pilot I really liked it, because it was about this weird guy who was the entire world's uncle and grandpa who came to help his neices/nephews/grandchildren whenever they had a problem. He tries, and an outlandish scenario occurs only for this scenario being what needed to happen so the kid could learn his/her lesson. Then, UG cleans up the mess and heads off to help the next kid.
In the new show, he barely helps the kids, sometimes making matters completely worse for them all the while acting like an asshole who thinks he's completely right. Then, it only gets worse once he stops ever helping kids anymore.

All in all, its an adult swim show that made it on CN. It wasn't that bad either, once you get accustomed to the style.
