I know /co/ hates Danny phantom but I have a lot of nostalgia for season 1. It has a chill and comfy feel to it that was lost in the other seasons.

>/co/ hates Danny phantom
What? Why?
>>91474648
it was a great show and /co/ doesn't hate it, we just hate Butch Hartman. it was a great show with a horrible ending
DP by far had the worst finale in any animated show on television
prove me wrong
>>91474704
What was the ending?
>>91474723
phantom planet, aka the laziest excuse for any finale ever in the history of television
>>91474691
/co/ hates Butch Hartman for being Christian (and therefore any of his works his faith my have an influence upon), because it's full of reddit and tumblr atheists who think they're so smart for hating the one religion the media tells them to.
>>91474704
>>91474837
Hey, remember the Fright Knight, and how he joined Vlad at the end of the Ghost King episode? And how he NEVER showed up again after that except for the beginning of Ultimate Enemy? That was bullshit.
How would you rank his rogue's gallery?
>>91474900
prolly would have showed up again if the show didn't get abruptly canceled
I really miss 2000-2005 Nickelodeon. Back then they had awesome early-mid 00s shows coming in, but still had reruns of the 90s shows, creating an equilibrium of old and new.
Then Cyma "Jew" Zarghami took over in 2006 and fucked everything up, by replacing the variety in the shows with shitty shows like post-movie Spongebob, iCarly, and Fanboy and Chum Chum.
>>91474919
>no evil Dani
>>91474919
average at best, only a few face him twice or were worth fighting
>>91474919
It's weird how in his first few appearances, Skulker was genuinely menacing, with a badass marine-type voice as provided by Matthew St Patrick, and had Danny looking over his shoulder scared.
Fast forward to later episodes, where Skulker has more of a goofy Saturday morning-villain voice (no offense to Kevin Michael Richardson, who's usually a great voice actor), and Danny could very easily defeat him in a few blasts.

>>>/mlpol/ is that way fampai
>>91474860
Butch Hartman is Christian? Huh that's pretty interesting actually. I always enjoyed the show, can't really think of why someone would hate it.
>>91474860
>unironically using the word "sheep" to describe people you don't like
>>91474860
>source is my ass btw

Reminder that Hartman didn't always suck.
>>91475096
How the fuck do I remember this, i was 3 years old
>>91475125
Reruns exist
>>91475136
This wasn't an actual show though right? Wasn't it just a short they aired a few times?
>>91475046
People are upset that the ghosts aren't dead people and are actually just beings from another dimension. Something about dead humans being ghosts goes against Hartman's religion.
>>91475075
I didn't use that word, I just posted a picture of one. What else would you call a group of people who simply follow the herd, rather than think for themselves?
>>91475078
Which part don't you believe? It's well known Hartman is a Christian, as well as tumblr/reddit users being quite prevalent on /co/.
>>91475156
The What-A-Cartoon Show was a collection of shorts that served as pilots. Between this and Oh Yeah! Cartoons, we got roughly half of CN's original library and My Life as a Teenage Robot.

91474954<<
What in the fuck is that?
>>91475206
I'm not the guy you replied to, but it's not like it's hard to do this.
>>91475096
>Do we have to listen?
>Yeah we better, remember what happened to Grandma?
>SHE WAS DEAD WHEN I GOT THERE!
My fucking sides.
>>91475174
The part about /co/ hating his work because he's a Christian. I've only seen like two or so posts like that in the time I've browsed /co/ and it was pretty clear they were just shitposting. I've seen people complain about his work for other reasons, but I've never seen someone seriously complain about his work because he was a Christian. I will say that my memory can be a bit hazy at times, but I don't recall any genuine complaints like that.
>>91475206
its a secret of newfigs trying to be oldfigs
>>91475096
Hartman & McFarlane were great when they were with CN. Then they went off to Nick & Fox respectively and had pretty similar careers.
>First show is a success, but overstays its welcome by many, MANY seasons and features Adam West as a side character
>Second show is their best (this is where Seth beats Butch; American Dad is still going and still good while Danny Phantom had a middling third season with a shit finale)
>Third show was forgettable and eventually died, but some guys got new waifus out of it
>>91475277
The number one complaint about Hartman and Danny Phantom is the one I mentioned above: about how Hartman's religion doesn't like the concept of dead humans becoming ghosts, so the ghosts in DP are actually beings from another dimension, who were never humans that died.
>>91475041
That happened to most of the recurring ghosts that weren't Vlad.
>>91474648
Good thing there's those weekly marathon threads.
>>91475041
Oh noes! The protagonist got stronger as he grew and began to easily defeat foes who once posed a serious thread to him? Whatever shall we do?
Show didn't know whether it wanted to be a Spider-man teen action show or a slap sticky Nicktoon.
/co/ can suck a dick I love Danny Phantom

Kill yourself you little rat fink cunt.
>>91475312
The same could be said about Genndy. Great comedy show which also had some action to start, darker edgier second show that lost track of itself once it started introducing shipping, and everything after should just be forgotten .
>>91476183
What's with all the recent SJ hate? I thought Genndy was cool. This place is a hivemind
>>91476183
>Putting FOP & Family Guy on the same level as Dexter's Lab
>Speaking about Jack losing track in the past tense for something that isn't even resolved yet in a season that has more episodes to air than have aired
>implying Clone Wars and Sym-Bionic Titan should be forgotten
Nah, man.
>>91474691
I don't know why /co/ hates it but i always found the protagonist boring and generic as shit, and i feel like the only reason people liked it were the women
>>91476292
I was a fan of Dexters Lab long before FOP. They are both about the same level, but I enjoyed FOP movies like Abra or Channel Chasers much better than the Dexter movie. I'm not comparing Family Guy to either, anyone who thinks that is remotely similar in presentation to either is a colossal retard. Maybe the Syewie Brian time travel episodes... but not really.
>>91474860
>>91476291
The collectivist bullshit on /co/ is so annoying.
One shithead spreads his crappy opinion and suddenly you have 1000+ idiots parroting that same opinion instead of making one for themselves.
Same shit happened with Samurai Jack.
One fujoshit screeches:
"Waah I don't like Ashi."
Suddenly a bunch of retards go
"Wtf I hate Ashi now." without giving any fucking reasoning why.
Like seriously, make your own fucking opinions.
>>91476390
By fujoshit do you mean someone on here?
And yeah I agree. Kinda defeats the point of discussion if it's just hive mind shit.
>>91476624
Nah I'm talking about the faggots in this thread:
>>91413310
screeching about "M-muh gay headcanon being destroyed."
>>91474860
And instantly I hate this entire thread.
>>91476390
If the opinion is based, there's nothing wrong with that.
