The problem is that he doesn't have the critical analysis to support the format. His opinion of Joker should be more comical than threatening isn't bad, but:

1. It would have been more appropriate for Suicide Squad than The Lego Batman Movie
2. He's criticizing a portrayal that's intentionally going against the grain, when it comes to the Batman franchise.
