Because /tv/ is stupid. The movie is middling at best. Lion's Gate will greenlight a sequel with no actual plans to make it and then leave it on the books in production hell until people will forget.

To be honest I would like to see a season of Power Rangers where the Red Ranger is female and leading the team. And no, SPD and Samurai do not count. I mean a female Red Ranger leading the main team of the season and for the majority of the season and not just five episodes towards the end.

I hope PR2017 gets a sequel, I thought it was a quite effecting drama that was saddled with dumb-mediocre suit and zord designs.

It's not hard to imagine the suits being tweaked to work a bit better and and better designed dragonzord tearing their ugly megazord to shreads. Also setting up Zordon as willing to hide things to advance his agenda and Kim as a sociopath could lead to some great 'team falling apart' stuff as she falls for evil ranger Tommy

I didn't like the 2017 movie. I wanted it to have a more serious tone than the tv show but I wanted that sillyness and light-heartedness as well.

The movie suffers from major tone issues by having both serious scenes and scenes were the actors are chewing the scenery.

The movie was uneven, the revamped characters were alright butI liked the young actors better than their characters if that makes sense. They convinced me they were really busting their asses off with martial arts work so those scrapes and bruises in that one scene were real.

Some good ideas, some bad ones, but "alright" is the fairest thing I could say for it/

Saban is a Jewish stereotype so he'd probably be fine with producing a movie with a much reduced budget.

Dino Thunder out of the ones I watched.
Mesogog was fucking amazing, and Tommy as a new badass mentor who keeps referencing PR tropes (and also has some slight crisis of identity) always made me smile a bit.
Ten again, I need to actually watch more season after In Space to properly judge it. Gotta say, SPD looks rather promising.
Though I'm slightly bumbed out that Shadow Ranger doesn't have a cool theme like his Sentai conterpart, Dekamaster. They need to bring back 6th Ranger Themes.

They weren't going to reboot this series without thinking about it's biggest cash cow.

He actually got escorted out after he tried to film audience reactions to the cameos and then spent the rest of the movie trying to convince them he was in the movie and that he wasn't recording the movie itself. They expected him to give up his phone if he wanted back in and he said no.
