Good evening /co/! I bring you the story of the universe's second most manipulative bastard and his (soon to be) mercenary company, complete with a pinch of 80s edge.
>>91350587
Cool
This is a good book
(also next time OP post the cover from a different IP like through your phone's data and then storytime from your computer, allows you to self-bump)
>>91350760
Thanks for the tip!
>>91350587
What do I need to know about Legion before reading this?
Also bump
>>91350587
Wait, what? Hold the fuck up now. Since when was there anyone who gave a shit about the Licensed Extra-Governmental Interstellar Operatives Network on this board? I went to go do something for 30 minutes and /co/ gets a sudden injection of taste?
Y'all better take full advantage and actually read this book.
>>91350901
>>91350901
Sorry, forgot the actual content. This is L.E.G.I.O.N.'s first appearance outside of being a subplot in the Invasion event so you should be fine going in blind.
>>91350972
There are dozens of us!
So, I'm not the only one who reads Vril as Crispin Freeman, right?
This whole run is on my "to read" list.
End of issue one, 69 to go.
>>91351192
Goodluck.
>>91351232
Ah, yeah, I'm probably not going to do all of them in one go...
>>91351256
No Problem.
>>91350901
Nothing, really. L.E.G.I.O.N is a spiritual prequel/spinoff of sorts. It's mostly disconnected from the main Legion books aside from featuring many of the familiar elements.
>>91351052Hoot hoot?
I want a L.E.G.I.O.N. revival more than a Legion revival TBQH.
>>91351429
I thought they would have at least hint at their existence while the GLC was gone and Sinestro was playing good cop, but apparently not.
>>91351146
Lyrissa is best girl.
>>91351480
Ha! Don't be silly! Vril Dox is the best girl. And the best boy. The best everything, really!
>>91351429
I want both.
>>91351460
A thoroughly wasted opportunity. That's frequently been a running theme in L.E.G.I.O.N, that the GLs kinda suck, and how fucked it is that the bloodsucking mercenary often does a better job of protecting the galaxy.
But then, it's probably for the best, considering Vendetti and all.
>>91351562
Indeed, but apparently we needed more colour fighting.
End of issue twoThe hand in machine stunt has also been done by his great grandson, in case anyone was wondering
>>91351562
I'm not well versed on the GLs but I've never seen them get the kind of detail work L.E.G.I.O.N. gets, and even L.E.G.I.O.N. skips over a lot.
Remember when the Telos mini had a bunch of these characters in solicits but I didn't read it because I'm not a complete dumbass?
Remember when DC actually thought that a fucking Telos mini by the wrong King would be a good idea to shill cosmic characters?;_;
>>91351882
Telos was such a joke. I read it because I enjoy suffering or something and the Stealth wasn't this Stealth and the Brainiac 2 chick was a cardboard copy of Vril, except she was secretly a 12th level intellect and not a 10th.
>>91351916
I deeply enjoy Vril being the retard Braniac.
Main Man time!
>>91351083
More like Paul Scofield desu.
>>91352053
You know Bisley Lobo is the iconic Lobo to me so it's weird when I see him here or in JLI. He looks oddly feminine because I'm used to him being so exaggeratedly masculine.
End of issue three!
>>91352233
Bump
>>91352279
Thank you mate
>>91352131
It is kinda surreal to see him as a relatively normal looking dude. You could mistake this take for an enthusiastic goth metal fan.
>>91352312
You're one to talk, Stealth. You're in the running for being one of the strangest things in comics.
4chan decided that this image contained malicious code...
The colorists can't seem to decide if Coluan blood is red or green.
>>91352578
>Asking?
Vril doesn't know how to people.
>>91352659
Who needs social skills when you can just trick people into doing what you want them to do
End of issue
Introducing: Uniforms
Where's my fucking L.E.G.I.O.N. Omnibus DC?
Shit, even a trade would be enough at this point.
>>91352312
No Problem
>>91352804
At the very least, there's some of it up on Comixology. Still, it'd be nice.
>>91350587
Well, who is the first? Sinestro?
>>91353136
I was implying to original Brainiac but he's not actually all that manipulative, mostly just insane, greedy and evil. So yeah, the first and second places are probably a tie between Vril and Sinestro.
Apologies to the people who I've replied to because my grammar is shit right now
>>91353250
It happens.
End of issue five!
I'm going to quit here because it's late where I am and I have to study for an exam tomorrow. Thank you all for being here with me tonight, I hope you have a great evening/night/day!
>>91353377
Thank You anon.
God I love this series. One of favorite space comics ever.
Good on ya, OP.
>>91353377
Thanks for posting.
L.E.G.I.O.N Rebirth when?
>>91353377
Thanks OP!
Thop.
>>91354005
>L.E.G.I.O.N Rebirth when?
Soon.
>>91354005
Didio seems to like it at least so there's hope. He kept REBELS v2 alive a few years ago when he didn't have to.
>>91350972

Since two years ago.Where did the time go?
>>91357682
Shame about the last trade being cancelled.
b.u.m.p.
>>91350587
Test
>>91351962
Oh shit it's Lobo isn't it
>>91361004
This
>>91361434
It's Lobo, yeah. The book has a tendency to pick up other characters from time to time, including Mon-El, Phantom Girl, Starfire and Adam Strange.
always bump for vril
Does Stealth taste like a creamsicle?
>>91367865
She tastes like sweat and murder.
>>91367865
I would advise against that. At least two of her bodily fluids are powerful hallucinogens. Which ones are unspecified.
>>91368586
Wow I'd better remember not to go look up Stealth piss smut.
>>91350587
this is the one with the reverse rape isnĀ“t it?
>>91368915
yeah in the #7
i love you anon
>>91366452
Agreed
It's weird how with a Giffen comic (or older comics in general) your sense of how much you read can be all fucked up. I remember some of this stuff happened in like the #10s of issues, but it probably just feels like that now because most comics are less dense now.
>>91369039
Thank you.
>>91373416
Yeah, L.E.G.I.O.N. and many other older comics are really weird like that and I can never keep track of what happened when. It's like "oh this happened in issue 25 or so" and it's in either 10 or 45 when you finally find it.
>>91352670
How often did this kind of team fight happen to Lobo? It definitely happens in JLI.
>>91376910
Fairly frequently. Vril fights him in his underwear later on IIRC.
>>91373416
>>91374386
That happens all the time with me and Claremont's X-Men or with Legion stuff. Beautifully dense.
also since Neron showed up in Midnighter and Apollo i'm choosing to believe his and Vril's deal stands
>>91377710
I consider the deal canon but you kind of need the reboot/Archie Legion version to be canon too for it to make sense since it's that version of Brainiac 4 who lost her soul. Unless the "wasting disease" that Kajz contracts can be considered equivalent.
>>91377710
Wonder what will happen to Polly and Middy with WS relaunching.
>>91378644
I feel like they said there might just be two versions, but I might be making that up.
Why L.E.G.I.O.N. is best comic, exhibit A.
