If there is one aspect you'd like to improve from the show, which would it be?

The only thing this series lacks is good action scenes. That's literally it. And even then that's subjective.

I only say this because of stuff from crew members that seem like hints/semi-spoilers.

One storyboard revisionist said she doesn't ship them but thinks their history is "sad." Which seems to be implying something she knows but we wouldn't-- unless "sad" is just referring to how Toffee maybe-probably killed Moon's mother.

In Sabrina Cotugno's completed piece for the art gallery (don't have it but someone must) a young Moon and Star are in similar attacking poses while Toffee's shadow is behind them. Unlike Star, Moon has tears in her eyes.

I really don't want them to go that way but I'm kind of preemptively bracing myself for it already.

Usually commonly recurring elements of stories are commonly recurring because they're the best way to tell that story.
Going against conventions for the sake of being contrarian adds zero value to a story, and is usually a detriment, if it isn't the natural result of the story's progression.
I don't like Star being possessed, because she's the protagonist and that plot can only be resolved with:
a) breaking free with the power of friendship/love because "the real Star is still in there somewhere"
b) breaking free after doing something horrible or being about to do something horrible, which is just forced drama that could always be done better, or
c) the villain releases control of her for no apparent reason after accomplishing some short-term goal they needed to posses her for, even though they have no reason not to continue possessing her indefinitely and she would be an incredibly valuable asset

Generally I'll just say I think this show can do and has done much better than that contrived shit writing.
