Am I the only one who actually appreciates how Overwatch doesn't have a concrete plot? It's all little snippets of backstory and events which raise more questions than they answer, which I think is perfect because the Overwatch story I've come up with in my imagination is far better and far more entertaining than anything Blizzard could create.

It's that whole "build tension, don't show the monster, the audiences' imagination will be scarier than anything you put on the screen".

Its not bad. Their biggest problem is they are having trouble figuring out how to handle tank characters in a balanced way. Because right now the only 'counter' to tanks to to shit out so much damage you burn them down. Which means either outnumbering them (so why not just play more tanks and out-tank their team?) Or doing so much damage that any non-tank character is a balloon to you (which basically just makes you unfairly powerful).

Every character is playable, even Sombra on occassion. But its very much a tank meta right now.

I know it would be kind of cancerously meta, but I think the game would benefit from some rock/paper/scissors bonuses.

Offense characters do bonus damage to tanks. Defense does bonus to Offense. Tanks do bonus to defense. Support doesnt do bonus to anyone.

Certain characters might break this mold, and you dont actually impair their ability to attack outside the bonus range, but it would at least make Tanks something other than 'offense with better health'.

What we need is more energy weapon heroes. Make energy shields great against physical weapons but get eaten up by energy weapons and vice versa. Physical shield tank can be a guy who manipulates ferro magnetic sand or plates or something. And give reaper an alt fire or have him throw a bandolier of those shells he keeps on him.

On a side note I also think we should have a flamethrower hero who can ignite spots on the ground and walls for a short time.
