no, it doesnt pander to SJWs, it panders to basic bitches. Not everyone on tumblr are SJWs, its like 30% sjw and 60% basic bitches and 10% porn.

RWBY is like the tv show 'friends,' but appeals to people who want to like anime but don't actually watch it and they have a conception in their head that a show has to be about conflict or fighting and not about characters interacting. Which is weird, because if you look at any fanfic, artwork, concept, etc. for these types of shows they're exclusively about characters interacting with dramatic/sexual tension and never about the terrible atrocities that they're supposedly fighting to stop.
It's really just an excuse for dramatic flair, the fighting itself only serves to make some characters not friends with other characters, although much of the fans wish this didnt exist either and that everyone was friends.
Basic bitches eat that shit up like popcorn. you'll notice basic bitches never get into shows with small casts and cartoons with less speaking roles. why? it makes it harder to project friend-group drama onto them.

I've never actually been on tumblr or watched an episode of this show

If Ruby, Weiss and Yang get pregnant with white babies and marry white partners like Jaune and Neptune then the show is probably not going SJW.

You got me, this is why I actually like the show. The characters are so poorly developed in almost every way (except Yang) that they really are almost blank canvases for me to fantasize about.
