Kind of random that they're fighting Terrax of all people. He has no relation to the X-Men and is currently showing up in Thanos.

Ok. I had written off marvel completely due to their pussified double crossing of the ff and Xverse franchises after willingly selling the rights to them, then their masterful manipulation of the fans to bash the companies acting in good faith in hopes of rewarding marvel, acting in bad faith. No one ever says, if marvel wants their characters back so badly why not do the non-jewish thing and simply offer a cant-refuse offer of buy back?

Anyways, I like this art quite a bit and am interested so far in this reboot. fuck marvel, they are trying to snag me again.

First of all, how would Rachel know that?
Second of all, it didn't stick, he showed up again soon after in Drax and Thanos' books.
The Illuminati Terrax was killed in Secret Wars.

The Central Park location is just as dumb as Avengers Mansion in the city always was but is even dumber now since SHIELD is all about public safety. No way the city would allow them to set up shop in central frigging park!

Personally i would put them in the mountains of Virginia giving them access to DC and Langley but not in the middle of a fricking super city that is the number one target of terrorists already.

Yup. Not just illegal but strategically indefensible.
"Where would be a great place to park our abode which is always attacked by entities big and small, I know!, somewhere with disrupted sightlines due to trees where defenseless bystanders congregate." Not to mention anyone can wander up to their house and they can't do shit about it because its public land, unless they are annexing Central Park? So many problems.

Inhumans can choose when and where to undergo terigenesis. Even when the clown was a thing. Inhumans would show up to contain the issue.

X-men can't predict this shit so if a mutants power evolves and no one is around to deal with it, it can just kill an entire city.

>>
>>91296473

the writer said months ago these are people with similar powers who decided to take the names of those dead characters.
>>
>>91296549
Ive always siad something similar about mutants vs other types. To the public the other types are anomalies...most people would die if bitten by a radioactive spider or blasted by a gamma bomb...most people will never be inhumans or aliens...people generally have to seek out and train in magic...people have to have access to super-tech...but a mutant event could happen to anyone, to anyones kids...i could see that being a psychological issue for the public. Presenting it plainly in a page like this will go a long ways. I bet that single spread will become heavily shared over the next few years.

>>91296663
There is also a question, or where do you go from that? Mutants are only the first step of the evolution. The ultimate evolutionary goal is for humans to become Eternals-like.

Also, how do you make people safe? How do you fight crime? Also, some people are ugly mutants, while others are pretty. etc. etc.

Both good and shit ones. Guggie is a fucking wild card.

On the one hand, he's responsible for the utter shit Season 4 of Arrow and the rise of Tumblricity toxic fanbase.

On the other hand, he listened to fan complaints and made Season 5 not suck.

Aside from Arrow (which IS pretty stale) he's also the showrunner of Legends of Tomorrow, which started out very weak, improved by the second half of the season, then produced Season 2 with Eobard Thawne's Legion of Doom, which is probably one of the best TV capeshit products ever.

Guggenheim is very receptive to feedback - the problem is WHO he listens to. By trying to cater to tumblrinas he ruined Season 4 of Arrow by making Felicity Smoak THE main characters. After listening to hordes of angry nerds whining, he had Arrow go back to its roots of cheesy, yet epic, action.

He also somehow adapted Prometheus, Adrian Chase and Simon Hurt as a single character.

I know that Cyke / Jean wedding happened first in the cartoon.

And art is an entirely political game. All he needs to do to sell his art for millions is to play on the fact that he is both famous and a member of an oppressed minority. Wealthy liberals would be clawing each other's eyes out to outbid each other on his paintings just so they can brag to their friends about how progressive they are for owning art made by a "genetically different" artist.

What happened to "Shadowcat?"
>>
>>91297140
Except the creation of diamonds is patented. And it's an extremely broad patent, covering virtually any means of creating diamonds that isn't "bury wood and wait". They'd get sued into oblivion by one of the wealthiest families on the planet. Maybe they'd win (challenging a patent for being overbroad is a thing) but there's a reason the patent hasn't been struck down.

>hopefully she comes out to Kitty and gets rejected
Bitch, a Grey doesn't get rejected. Even if she wasn't a lesbian before, she'll be all "Kitty, you're, like, full gay." and she'll be all "God, I know" and that will be that.
>>
>>91303495
Which makes no goddamn sense either.

Nowhere in that picture is hinted anything you just said, you're making stuff up or Reading too much into things, likely both.

>>91304193
Now we know the trick for that to work is to have an alternate reality you around, how's Rachel gonna get an alternate Kitty from another reality that has absolutely nothing to do with the one in 616/Prime Earth?

Kitty's also a Jewish woman

I think you missed the part where they didn't give them much choice. Just flamin teleported in Whole school. Just invited themselves.
>>
That was alright, actually.
>>
>>91303926
During Latour's volume of Wolverine and the X-men a Bamf teleported her out of her armor while she was in it.

For some reason the armor stayed as it was and she wasn't able to get back in or summon a different one. So she kinda dismantled it and turned it into an actual armor that she could take off because apparently she's an engineer?

"The Left," in America at least, is about using government to make people safer or make their lives better through regulations (gun safety, environmental rules, health regulations, consumer protections, etc) and social programs. Liberals probably would support a mutant or superhero registration program in the name of public safety.

"The Right" pretty much just believes in "anything that helps me is good, anything that helps people who aren't me is bad. Also anyone who's not like me is bad." So rightists are more likely to just outright hate mutants for being different.

Claremont mentioned it in a podcast interview. Of course, he could be lying about his earlier intentions, but that's what he said.

Let's be fair here. What's popular with MU citizens has normally been different from what's popular with us. The Avengers were always considered the A -list heroes when in rl they were the couldn't hold a solo comic heroes. Spiderman is the undisputed king irl while in the MU he's been a Z-lister that inexplicably shows up everywhere for a long time.

>>91295796
it´s very bland, seems more of the same of any other uncanny or extraordinary in the last years.
Still is only the 1st issue, let´s see what it it fairs after 6 or 7 issues.

- Rachel costume is shit
- The cosmic power has fallen a lot to be beaten by this team
-what the hell is doing Terrax at earth now? no explanation, using a formidable cosmic powerhouse as a small fry and not integrating it in a great saga...not very auspicious
>>
>>91296446
>>91296469
God damn, they tried super hard not to mention Hope.

Not a peep about Messiah Complex or Messiah War. In Second Coming, Kurt died "protecting a ward of the X-Men", and AvX is all about the Phoenix Five, nothing else. "The teams cooperated to restart the mutant gene", not Hope and Wanda.

I know all the Hope saga was wonky at best, but god damn, talk about throwing out the baby with the bathwater.
>>
>>91295964
what happened to the buildings after kitty stop their phase? They remained phased forever or their explode in the matter encounter?
>>
>>91312361
I think it's just too complicated to explain all that, they just want to keep things simple explaining things that directly tie-in with the characters in this team and what's currently happening.

The Cable book might mention her.
>>
>>91312372
When Kitty phased the Hulk into the ground, he didn't explode he just had ground stuck in his body

So I guess her powers don't cause shit to explode when they occupy the same physical space

Hope is going to show up in the Jean Grey ongoing alongside other former Phoenix Force users like Rachel, Quentin and Namor

building merges with the ground
>>
>>91312811

>>
>>91312372
Supposedly it merges with the ground, although she did made a hand explode once. They can always say she can control every single part of her powers because Black Vortex made her invincible.
>>
>>91312811
what does it means that merge with the ground?
The ground space filled with rocks, sand and earth disappears to makes space to the building?

Do she choose what stay and what goes? And where it goes? Or are you implying that she really merges, like in a molecular and atomic way, merging atoms of matters and creating something new? Does not make a nuclear reaction?
>>
>>91308814

>>
>>91308814
He's more or less right, statistically speaking. Though of course, you can't paint an entire half of the political spectrum with one brush.
>>
>>91314606
Actually come to think of it, why is the saying "paint them all with the same brush"? A single brush can paint multiple colors easily if you rinse it.

Man, this is gonna bug me for a while.
