The thing is, it could have stood out really well as an animated series. Right now in movies we're still in the super hero craze, it will be seen as "just another super hero movie" with "not superman and his kid" by most people, so I don't know what they're trying to do with this. I think Kirkman has proven he can do TV shows with walking dead and wants to now prove he can do movies (though the movie will be written by seth and the (((((jew))))) guy but I'm sure Kirkman will want to approve the final script atleast).

Venture Bros only has the freedom and budget it does because they have an open contract to leave Adult Swim for Comedy Central whenever the hell they want, and even that show is still mostly comedy, and doesn't have the animation to do Invincible justice.

The tv show actually departed quite a bit from the comics, with the entire first season being set in the town and revolving around the preacher trying to keep his church going. The preacher's personality is different from the comic, with him starting out as more of a kind of slimy, arrogant jerk.

I was very mixed on the show throughout most of it, but by the end it really won me over & started to fully embrace the madness of the comic. I can see people thinking it sucked though, I hated it myself at times.

Intersectng that when I was deep into reading Invincible and I dreamt "yeah it would be cool if there was a movie where two flying dudes smashing each other and buildings collapsed and everything like blows up", coincidentally it was exact time when Zack Snyder's Man of Steel came out. Cool, there was this fight, but also they brought back Superman to big screen, I love Superman, thanks Zack.
But what will be here? Same big scale fight, but with rëddit-like colors? And that's it? Because Invincible has also like space adventures, all random superheroes and supervillain poking around, most of them are parodies of big two. How can you do it in a movie? Plus with blood, which is R rating, which means budget is half of sandwich.
Why not make it animated, but not meme-animated like all those rëddit cartoons, but instead like Axe Cop fucking animated?
