Box Trolls villain: blown up after massive swelling of every part of his body; implied gibbed.

Sister with pipe from Kubo: head cut in half horizontally. Added bonus: when Kami die in Shinto faith, they get thrown into Jigoku AKA hell, the exact equivalent of throwing a cop into an eternal prison riot.

>>91264822
Not a death.

Plus Shinonome suffers far more than him. She watched him cause the deaths of all her children and is stuck as a sapient fetus for eternity that's usually locked in a pitch black vault somewhere so people can't use her for power. At least he has a body and can see his prison.

There is a weird but very, very deep satisfaction in the punishment of eternal isolation. Can't die, all alone, trapped, forever. God I relish the idea of it happening, I love it when a villain has it happen and realizes the sheer horror of what they're in for.

This has always bothered me too.

He's an opponent. He fights for the fun of it, with no rage or hatred for his opponents, purely for sport.

Bison, a dictator and crime syndicate boss bent on world domination, Sagat who is consumed with hatred and rage for vengeance, and Vega who is an assassin are the real villains.

Zangief is not.

I don't know man, zangief sorta just does zangief. He just wants to wrestle and make sick gains
>>
>>91265376

>>91265359
That's really messed up. The point of punishment is that it's finite and the length and magnitude are reactionary to the crime or misdeed. The idea of eternal isolation as a punishment is frankly kind of evil because no matter what horrible thing you did even kill thousands your crime was finite, but the punishment isn't.

Now some people are going to point out that in the expanded universe he climbs out and goes on adventuring but I don't consider any expanded universe bullshit canon.

If it's not in the movie it's not canon.

So, as far as I'm concerned, he's still trapped inside the Sarlacc thousands of years later slowly being digested.
>>

Something you can say about Giygas, and the vast majority of villains is that at least their suffering eventually ended. Porky never gets the relief of death.
Then again, in any setting where hell is real, even death is no release from suffering.

Its not really punishment so much as justice and preventative incarceration.

>>91265503
He is one of twelve beings, a humanoid and a dragon as twins, who lead their race made up of their descendants. They reincarnate into magic indestructible eggs and are always reborn.

He and his sister were the teachers of their race. They unfortunately are cursed with massive curiosity and ambition, and being unable to ever forget anything during their reincarnation cycle. They die and are reborn as infants with all their past knowledge. They never forget anything, ever.

Sister dealt with it. He didn't.
He pissed off a race of divine space robots to destroy his people so he could go off and explore space, then kept luring them to keep exploring outer space. The last time he really flipped his shit and they found out about it, locking him away in a complety empty dimension and preparing a last stand to save a handful of their children like a few hundred Clark Kents in a parallel dimension.

He's absolutely unrepentant about it, and is obsessed with seeing new things. After being accidentally freed he tried to do it all over again, and swore he always would. Even his sister, who's been trapped as a telepathic fetus in their egg for billions of years, told him to fuck off after he pleaded for understanding.

So they locked him alone in the dimension again, because he's never going to be able to be reformed. His sister is trapped forever. He caused everything bad that's ever happened. When you tell him that, he complains that you're just not seeing how boring everything else is from his perspective.
>>
>>91265526
>They won! They're the only power in existence. They have it ALL. So now they can enjoy it, alone, with a decaying brain.

Not really. They did not "won!" Everyone will still go on while that person gets a infinite and timeless punishment slowly going crazy while all the punishments they caused were finite.

I'm arguing with you but I can't tell if your trying to be edgy for bait or actually think this, both are stupid either way.

Not edgy. I've just read a lot about the massive inhumanity of isolation, and I think it's an excellent punishment for offender of the worst degree. Pedophiles, mass murderers, that kinda degree, just put them somewhere where they will never interact with another human being for the rest of their existence.

We were intentionally created by the god and goddess who created every single thing in reality, making us the trust masters of existence. Our descendants and the mortals who appear like insects with miniscule unimportant lives are not a concern to beings like us. I need to learn, its what I was created to do, and I have learned every single thing here.
Also I'm scared to be alone, so you all have to come with me and be my companions."

The protagonist's argument: "Shut the fuck up, I was created to be your God Emperor, and I declare the insects are lovable and you're a cunt. So fuck off to the magic dungeon."

Zangief actually did went through a "bad guy" phase, mostly in American adaptations of the Street Fighter series, and in the SF II V anime. Gief is easy to put on a bad guy role. He's big, he's a brute, he wears that HnK-mook hairstyle, and he was a soviet. You put him opposing Guile and boom, there's your dirty commie villain. Of course, he wasn't created to be a bad guy but he was treated as one for a while.

I actually thought that putting Zangief in the bad guy group session was pretty smart because of this, even though he was only there because the director had trouble with him as a kid.
It's like Zangief is technically a "reformed" bad guy but he still attends the sessions so he can help the other villains deal with their own existential crisis. It's remarkably in touch with Zangief's actual character in the series.

The thing is he's not locked in there as punishment.

Yugo, fully aware of what kind of a monster he is, still gives him offer after offer for a second chance.

Locking him in the blank dimension is a means of keeping him from doing any damage since he's golden-tongued Sauron and runs around mucking everything up for his own selfish ends every time he gets out.

That being said, Yugo is the king of their race as well as technically the entire cosmos and everything in it. Whatever he calls justice basically is. It can be unjust and unfair, but its justice nonetheless as handed down by the supreme authority.

Well, any being manifested by Silent Hill. Its all just energy poured into giving a shape or form to an emotion, impulse, memory, or belief.

That's not so bad for the (maybe) semi-mindless monsters, but then there's the sapient beings. Not only do they find out they're nothing more than a tool to bring about the destruction or cure of a mentally ill individual/cult victim but they also are no different from the monsters in the town and can even become one at any time, and on top of all that there's the existential knowledge that you're a figment of someone else's imagination and they're either going to die or wake up very shortly because of your actions which was your only purpose to begin with; like an AI who's only job is to push its own self-destruct button.

So, yeah. Look through the Silent Hill comics. I mean the ones that aren't batshit insane.

Everything that exists was created by two gods.
For the sake of the fact that there's a divine hierarchy, these are basically the supergods.

Eliatrope is made up of Wakfu, AKA creation magic (can also be used to destroy). The Great Dragon is made up of Stasis, AKA destruction magic (can also be used to create). The two of them look like giant nebula in the shape of a humanoid and a dragon.

All the energy between them coalesced into existence between them when they mated. In Eliatrope, powerful beings which are the minor gods of the setting were born as well as the minor spirits who are subordinate to them. Inside Great Dragon, the demons were born as well as the Shushu who are their subordinates.

After creating all things, Eliatrope and Great Dragon created six eggs and placed them on a planet. Each egg contained a humanoid called an Eliatrope and a dragon called a...well, Dragon. Six sets of twins. Their descendants would be the masters of the universe while the gods, spirits, and demons wandered it and created wonderful things for the Eliatropes and Dragons to enjoy. All things that die pass out of the world through Eliatrope, reenter it through Great Dragon and are reincarnated.

Yugo and his Dragon brother Adamai are the kings of all things, gifted by the god and goddess supreme authority in the universe.

Unfortunately the demons and shushus, being inherently destructive beings, mostly fought each other and the gods and spirits were too busy having fun and exploring reality to do much of anything. When Qilby (divine scholar and teacher of the Eliatropes and Dragons) got bored, he lured a race of space robots created by one of the gods to force the Eliatropes and Dragons to flee so he could see new things on other planets.

Yadda yadda, all the Dragons and most of the Eliatropes died. A bunch of gods found the planet the last stand was fought on, created life which is the mortals of the setting.

Then Yugo and Adamai were finally reborn.

At least if you do it right. Any child can stop motion their Legos, but creating a full setting the size of an auditorium with minuscule stitching on clothing, bits of paint on flowers, and puppeting it over the course of a decade takes more effort than drawing cells let alone Flash wizardy.

Wybie was created specifically because for most of the book Coraline talks to herself or has internal dialogue. His only purpose was to be someone she can have a conversation with.

Otherwise, barring the Other Mother being creepy and ugly from the start, its mostly the same. A few additions so they could have gags mostly centered around the actresses, but nothing major.

Sorry but talk to me when you need to rebuild your puppet/clay figure for every single frame.

Stop motion is basically 3D animation with physical objects. You still create the assets and then manipulate them, which is much easier, (no matter how masterfully crafted the assets are or how pain-stakingly slow the stop motion process is,) than truly well-done frame-by-frame animation.

You can't prove that the punishment will be infinite just as you can't prove that the crime would have been infinite if he had been left alone.

Even though we both 'know' that it actually is in both cases, in the sense that we use the same parameters to determine both would be similarly infinite.

Back in the day you had to entirely recreate the puppet by hand for every frame. Not to mention rarely outside of the golden age of animation was one guy actually doing every cell himself.

An animated movie can be done in a fraction of the time a proper stop motion work can, with far less space and a far smaller team.

Bobinsky was actually somewhat creepy in the novel and more likely to actually be insane than teaching real mice, although to be fair you never see any hint of them existing in the movie.

The Other Mother starts to fall apart like an old rotten doll as she loses her power in the showdown rather than turning into a more powerful looking spider porcelain monster. But that's more stylistic.

When? Which animations/movies?

>Not to mention rarely outside of the golden age of animation
We're not cherrypicking eras here. You didn't say "modern stop motion takes more effort than any other form of modern animation" you made a broad generalization.

>An animated movie can be done in a fraction of the time a proper stop motion work can
That doesn't mean it took more or less effort.

Frame-by-frame 2D animation is like building a sandcastle from scratch. Stop Motion is like molding plastic into castle-shaped beach toys and making a castle from said toys. It uses a tool to accomplish something that the best 2D animation must do 100% from scratch, other than backgrounds.

The reason you probably remember it as way more brutal is because it's pre-faced with a scene where the audience is lead to believe that the protagonist who is for all intents and purposes a like 12 year old kid in fish form, got squished under a woman's heels, and they play it completely straight for like a full minute before someone figures out it was just a stuffed model of a fish of the same kind.

Not a villain, but still a horrible way to go.

From the World of Warcraft Pre-Legion Novel "The Tomb of Sargeras". The context is The Ship WoD Gul'Dan was on, he torched with Felfire to escape Khadgar. Sometime afterwards, he washes up on The Broken Isles. There he is found by a Nightfallen, who are Nightborne, turned into skinny, skeletal Junkies. He got a taste of Fel from a nearby burning piece of wood, and he liked it, and so the Nightfallen attempts to take Gul'Dan's (Very powerful Warlock), Mana. This is what happens.

>"His fingers curled above the body, drawing a taste of the potent radiance. It was vile. And it was
beautiful. He drank deeply.
He felt power. He felt fire. He felt might.
He felt pain. He felt the corpse's green hand close around his throat, squeezing hard.
He felt fear. The orc was standing. Not a corpse at all. Never had been. Glowing red eyes looked
into his. "You have not paid the price for that power, not as I have," the orc said. The eyes
narrowed, and the lips twisted into a smile. "But please, have more."
The exile shrieked. Torrents of corrupted fel surged into his mind. He lived on magic. Now he
drowned in it, suffocating beneath an endless ocean of green fire. He was filled to the brim, and
yet more flooded in.
Then, in an instant, it was all gone. All of the orc's magic. All of his own. Drained to the last
drop. Nothing remained but emptiness and agony.
Yet as his heart went still, he realized he would do anything to wield such might again…
With a casual gesture, Gul'dan ended the wretch's existence, leaving him as wet streaks on the
rocks."

Roger Rabbit could get a world though, that is if Squenix is willing to fight shit like copyright, references to things not owned by Disney IE Marvin Acme, if Eddie Valiant should be used, Jessica Rabbit might be too sexual for an E+10 game, one of the weasels smoking, and the concept of toons being acknowledged for the first time in the series.

I'm fairly sure the term ACME isn't copywritten and if Eddie Valiant and Jessica Rabbit aren't in there then what's the point of having a Roger Rabbit world at all? Also, the idea of Eddie as a party member who refers to Sora as "Toon" during combat would be the greatest thing to happen in the series, especially if he's allowed to use his revolver.

Him or Turbo are the most horrific Disney deaths, because they both are fully aware of what is happening but have no ability to stop it. Anybody claiming Clayton was somehow horrific is being dumb, Clayton died actively being a dick, in fact he deliberately ignored the advice of the protagonist who attempted to save him. Turbo wasn't even given a second chance, he was just eaten alive by a bug and THEN vaporized.

Turned off the machine which made Giygas invulnerable, which was otherwise indestructible. Ness & co would only have been able to sit, and wait until Giygas reached maturity without help from Pokey.

He knew that deep down he was never a skilled combatant and would only slow down the rest of his companions during their adventure so he played the role of an antagonist. By getting close to Giygas, he was able to open a way for his friends to save the day, even though he knew that he would forever be an unsung hero.

Porky "Pokey" Minch is probably one of the most inspiring heroes of that decade, and his selfless act of turning off the Devil's Machine is something that is criminally underappreciated.

In the original story, The Prey-Predator tension Bellweather sought to stoke had happened at least a generation ago, and now all predators have to wear shock collars that zap them when they get emotional. The scene in question is a "taming party", when a young predator gets their first collar.

He doesn't die, but he suffers a pretty fucking nasty fate.

Constant time travel warp his body so much he became immortal. Mentally he's still an evil selfish brat but he's aged terribly physically. By the end of Mother 3, in a last act of defense against Lucas and co. near the end, he locks himself in a device that was built to be absolutely, completely impenetrable so that no one can ever hurt him again.

The catch is that while no one can enter the capsule, no one can leave it either, so Lucas just goes along his merry way while Porky gets to spend eternity in a cramped capsule, never able to leave or die.

Bull-Fucking-Shit.

Every time an EB antagonist is beaten or thrashed by Ness and co. they usually sober up to some degree and there's proof that either Giygas or the Mani Mani Statue had something to do with their behavior--EXCEPT for Pokey.

The game shows him to be an unapologetic spoiled brat who always acted in his own self interest, and even threatened Ness and his family when he came to get 'help' finding his brother. This was even before humans became corrupted by Giygas' influence.

....And then there's Mother 3.

Pokey, Porky, call him what you want, he's a complete shithead.

I recall reading this one book called "Unwind" in High School that had something kinda like this. It was mostly just a teenage near-future sci-fi drama, but the concept it revolved around was kind of heavy: the ability for parents to sign papers to retroactively abort their children. The process is described as a painless, "humane" way of killing someone, where each and every healthy body part is donated to science.

The whole book does about as much as it can with the premise, from what happens when somebody gets part of somebody else's brain to a character who is the 10th child of a Catholic family and is signed off as a tithe, but towards the end there's a character that essentially is just a bully who was also signed off, and the book spends an entire chapter following him as he is methodically scrapped for parts. He has a conversation with the nurse as it's happening since he's totally numbed, and he slowly loses consciousness, still not having accepted that he's dying, even when he's basically just a head. He fades away, and then it's back to the main story in the next chapter.
