Gems have demonstrated more strength and speed feats than rangers have even with battlelizers.
Zords are pretty weak as well.
It took 3 in In Space to redirect an asteroid and the Thunderzords went down like bitches to 5 monsters.
They're also vulnerable to hacking so Peridots take care of that.
Rangers have demorphed upon impact to blasts that wouldn't even faze a gem.

That aside, there was one time when a Ranger caught lasers in the palm of his hand and dropped them to the ground. But his speed and reflexes were all kinds of crazy even by Power Rangers standards (I think he had some sort of super-speed time manipulating ability) and the other Rangers were surprised when he did it.

There was also a time when a Ranger lifted a car overhead and threw it. That would mean he's about ten times as strong as a normal human being at the minimum. Logically, this should mean his speed and reflexes are also ten times the human average. Well, not really. Equivalence doesn't work that way.

In all honesty, the Homeworld comes off as one of those "advanced in some ways, falling behind in others" societies, like the Adversary's empire in Fables, or the Wizarding World in Harry Potter. They rely on their natural abilities and special technology designed to interface with those abilities, making no attempt to understand or integrate the technology of the other worlds that they come into contact with. Totally fine, for an empire that doesn't expect to meet with resistance, but the whole thing falls apart when a sufficiently advanced society starts fighting back.

Hell, the whole reason Jasper and Peridot's initial offensive failed was that the Homeworld failed to take into account that weapons and defense systems designed specifically to contain gems might not work on humans.

Bearing that in mind, I genuinely do believe it wouldn't take an entire invasion force of Rangers to successfully subdue the Homeworld. Saying that one team alone could do it is probably pushing it, but maybe if you had five or six working in tandem? Their technology is just too alien and destructive for the gems to contend with, especially if the gems aren't open to the idea of more powerful fusions.

Speaking of, I wonder how heretical the Homeworld might find the idea of the Zords, given how they start out separately and later fuse to get stronger...

Is anyone annoyed at how featless Power Rangers is?
Despite having an emphasis on upgrading, the early season from MMPR-In Space didn't have much noticeable differences in terms of raw power (mostly because they were actually different Sentais). They never really advanced past city level in Zord capabilities even with the constant additions to form clusterfuck Ultrazords and neither the Rangers do anything remotely impressive even with Battlelizers. Sure they can fire a giant laser and fly now but in the end of the day it's not too impressive in the grand scheme of things as it doesn't really do anything aside from destroying a standard monster of the week (something they could've already done without the new tacked on toy gimmick). The strongest thing out there is Serpenterra and even that has a pitiful fuel supply to keep it going. For supposed guardians of planets, the Rangers sure do come off as weak and even the villains they face come off that way.
Dino Thunder rangers for all their upgrades got beaten by a somewhat big dinosaur humanoid who only used brute strength.
Dark Spectre was wiped out by missiles.

We have yet to see the full extent of the Diamonds' power, but if you got all the Ranger teams together, or at least a handful of them on defense, they could conceivably repel a large scale gem invasion of Earth.

One team of rangers would stand a chance repelling the shit the Crystal Gems put up with on a weekly basis.

It would probably take all the Ranger teams and the Riders collectively to take out an entire freaking planet of Gems, though.

There's been at least two seasons where the Rangers defeated mechanically inclined threats to the earth: Zeo/Ohranger and In-Space/Mega Ranger, though in the case of the latter's Japanese counterpart a bad-ass Mad Scientist and an otherworldly powerful entity were behind it all.

Decepticons are typically smaller than combined Megazords.

Devastator/all the constructicons would be a fair match against a Megazord, but would ultimately fail. Decepticons seem to have the advantage from sheer numbers and fire power, but if you have ALL the Rangers ready for their shit it would be a costly battle but ultimately goes to the Rangers.

You're right, except Lapis Lazulis are designed for terraforming, not combat. Her water powers are OP, but only if there is enough water in her immediate vicinity, otherwise she's fucked. She got poofed by a single punch from a gem designed for building rather than fighting and got broken just by getting accidentally stepped on. In terms of combat ability, she's a glass cannon, and a strong one at that. But in a proper prolonged combat situation where her powers are limited, she wouldn't last long.

While we did have a kid as a Ranger at one point (just look at Turbo), maybe is my answer. Garnet and her waterclone created a large crater from the force of their strikes, and then traded blows at FTE speeds! She can also survive in lava, the core of the sun, and tosses cars, boats, and other large objects around like paper mache? Fast enough to block lightning (literal lightning from the sky!), strong enough to tank massive explosions, etc!

Pearl, the physically weakest strain of gem we've seen so far, easily kicked a large rock pillar in half and can leap into the stratosphere! Same with Amethyst! They alone would DECIMATE the "Power Rangers Jungle Fury" or "Might Morphin Power Rangers." If Zords become a problem, Fusion is always ready to pack a major punch! I can only imagine how much damage a Garnet Pearl Amethyst Lapis Peridot fusion could deal! Nice!
