Yeah you can tell that they were pretty much given the budget more suited to a wacky comedy instead of an action show. CN probably just wanted them to make TTGo Justice League Edition.

Thank God that didn't happen. They did a good job simplifying the character designs in a way that makes them easier to animate but still keeps them looking good. I actually really like this sleek Timm inspired visual style. It's no Max Fleischer's Superman but they've done a good job stretching the budget.

This series is just so much fun. They think of great situations to put the characters in and they treat them right. Even with all these clips I've posted there's so many more that come to mind. Firestorm has great moments, I was surprised by how much I loved his antics since he looked annoying in the trailer. Zatanna and JL Dark stuff is great too.

Not sure of the point in watching this when the JL/JLU show exists.

It was my first time watching the show. They played the memory loss episode and then that episode that you posted. Swamp Thing goes on a blind date with Poison Ivy and gets mind controlled. Harley Quinn helps out too so that Vixen has someone to fight. The idea of Swamp Thing as a bachelor was pretty ridiculous. The producers seemed upset that they can't get the US releases to be as smooth as the overseas releases. They also mentioned at least 6 future episodes involving New Gods

Honestly, this show is fucking great. I consider this to be the true successor to Brave and The Bold. It's funny, the fight scenes are smooth and all the references and cameos are fun.

It feels good to have an actually good DC cartoon again. I hope this show sticks around for a while.
