I'm still mad about this AU because it's so popular despite being so poorly mishandled. It should have been a plain morality flip, not a morality/motif flip. That's what turned it into totally OOC fetish twins vs. Mabel and Dipper but now they're blonde.

Very easy formula.
Maybe you put a bunch of cypher shit in it that unlocks special scenes.

The other way is If you are going that deep into re-imagining than you may as well make every character's name different ala "Will" Cypher and "Deuce".

Nah, I'm an AU elitist. I'm annoyed that this insanely popular but flimsily constructed AU runs on cheap sex appeal (especially pervasive but broadly unappealing incest) over story substance when a protagonist/morality swap has so much potential as a fun character exercise.

I'm just a big Gideon fan and the approaches to him in this AU are so uninspired, like making him Dipper 2 or making him some timid little stuttery marshmallow. Completely misses his essence and character appeal.

The characterization on Mabel and Dipper also seems weak, but I know everyone's in it to shove Mabel in a leotard and Dipper in a suit and then draw them fucking so I've just written them off wholesale.
