CN Germany is only available via providers. This is different from most stations you can watch freely. Due to that, CN has no issues selling broadcasting licenses to other stations.

SpongeBob got first popular on Super RTL. When Nickelodeon came back, we had two stations playing Spongebob. Sometimes at the same time. Three times I caught it being the same episode.

Well, the Italian situation on the free channels is weird.

Explanation: here we have some cartoon channels that are supposedly the free versions of the pay TV channel: Boing is the free CN, K2 is the free Disney XD and Super is the Free Nickelodeon.

But part of the Nickelodeon stuff also aired on the other cartoon channels too, until Super got the rights on everything (mostly live action and some Dreamworks cartoons) and now everything is balanced. Except they promote them as "brand new series" when the other channels already reran them dozens of times.
