I like Carnage, but he simply serves his purpose of being the pure evil one to Parker's pure good and Eddies more neutral/grey area, I don't care much about him as a character

Also, it's been a long time since I read his older appearances, but I don't remember him ever being explicitly a redneck despite the name, and it's funny to me that he now seems to always be written as a redneck guy

I once had an idea for an AU where Peter doesn't get rid of the Symbiote and instead achieves a more healthy and friendly bond with it, teaching it to be less aggressive. As a trade-off, it weakens and stunts the development of his Spider-Sense because for some reason I care about balance.
