I like the comic still. When you read it all in one sitting it's fine

This is legit a pretty good joke about 3.5. I didn't care for the last comic, but this was funny.

I miss Roy's sword already

Did they changed to 5th edition?
Something changed with them?
>>91188087
there was an artstyle shift but they're still in 3.5e
5e is too different to justify changing to it in the middle of a campaign

They didn't change for 4e, and didn't for 5e either.
The only actual edition change was the change from 2e to 3(.5)e just before strip #1. I don't know if this is reflected in the prequel comics, however.

Wasn't it a 3.0 to 3.5 change?

"A major revision of the AD&D rules was released in 2000. As the Basic game had been discontinued some years earlier, and the more straightforward title was more marketable, the word "advanced" was dropped and the new edition was named just Dungeons & Dragons, but still officially referred to as 3rd edition (or 3E for short)"
"In July 2003, a revised version of the 3rd edition D&D rules (termed v. 3.5) was released that incorporated numerous small rule changes, as well as expanding the Dungeon Master's Guide and Monster Manual"

You're right. I always thought it was 2e.
That said, a 3.0 to 3.5 change wouldn't be all that much compared to 3.5 to 4 or 3.5/4 to 5.

Exactly, it's not that big a deal. Going to 5e would be. 4e is a totally different game.

I'm curious as how they're gonna have the vampire dwarf be delayed.
I mean he's had at least an hour or two head start now, and all he has to do it have the demigod clerics say their vote results.
