Revan trained Alek "Squint" Squinquargesimus (later known as Darth Malak) all the way to knighthood, and was acknowledged by his teachers (or at least by Kreia) as being unbelievably gifted and powerful. Kreia said looking at Revan was "like staring into the heart of the Force."

Revan is at least on par with Obi-Wan Kenobi both as a leader and as a Jedi Knight, even if he was never formally granted the rank of Master. Possibly much more, though I suppose we'll never really know.

Revans main appeal isn't just what he did, but that he's his own individual. In a sense, Revans strength is that he can be anyone. He won his fame by seeing tragedy and reacting as many would, but more strongly and with skill. His fall to the dark side was a reaction to a threat that many might also fall for. Thrawn is quite possibly the most terrifying enemy the Ghost crew has ever faced -- and they've faced the Inquisitors, Maul, and even Darth Vader himself. Thing is, even though I've never been into EU stuff, i want Snoke to be Plagueis as it would link the big bad guy to the rest. I just don't really like the idea that nu-Emperor is just a new character coming out of nowhere, i want him to be at least linked to some character/event we know of.

But apparently they kept saying he wasn't Plagueis (Pablo said it numerous times on Twitter) and that he was indeed a fresh new character, but i've learned not to trust these kind of statements so i really don't know

I've always said that Snoke as Plagueis could be neat, but only if, in addition to that, we accept the theory that Snoke, with Sheev's help, created the Skywalker bloodline. Then you've got the Skywalkers confronting their maker, which is a neat story and a way to link all three trilogies together.

But if Plagueis didn't make the Skywalkers, there's no real thematic reason for him to be Snoke.

I'm in agreement, i would prefer plagueis rather than some bendu-esque ancient force wielder who has never been heard from before. As far as the identity, well, snoke's head is a really short and wide compared to most depictions we've seen of Muun in TCW and comics, but the fact that a Muun hasnt appeared in a movie yet, as well as how they recycled the plagueis the wise track from ROTS for him makes me think its likely. Maybe his face scar is from where palps thought he offed him.

I love how Pablo is presumptuous enough to think that he has a story more interesting than Snoke being Plagueis

because if he's anyone else it's going to be garbage and Lucasfilm blows
