Considering how much is rectoned in book 2 alone, it should be considered as such.
Not to mention the crazy time period skip from rural 800AD China with some steampunk tech powered by magic to suddenly being in the 1920s with all its technology not powered by magic (except for the electrical grid). Which is even weirder considering 10,000 years ago the Chou's had the exact same architecture and tech as they did in the majority of the world on Aangs time

All of Varrick's story being basically ignored is what kickstarted that Nick had way more control over the writing board then Bryan and Mike did so they essentially tried to destroy what they created

outside of the fire nations little tanks, the never explained drill, and all the little tinkerings of the mechanist, everything from the architecture to the actual tech used in the last airbender is ancient east asians.
We are shown only ONCE a crossbow, which means it is at least in the 6th century China, and the fire nation has roman ballistics, but other than that we see people even in the upper ring of Ba Sing Se living in what is far pre-enlightenment era societies.
They there isn't even formal education outside of bending for the most part unless you count indoctrinating by the fire nation.

Thats the whole point of my argument. Like there can be a university there, but that school of thought in no way could have facilitated the rampant NON-BENDING DEPENDANT technology boom between the end of the 100 years war and Korra.
In 66 years they somehow discover fields like radiography that wouldn't have even been possible without extensive understanding of a myriad of fields that hadn't even developed yet.
Hence why I say Korra = GT and is non-canon.

While true, the core concept od Zutara was never the problem, and with the right writing, it actually could have been interesting, possibly moreso than any other ship in the show.
The problem was that fact that faggots kept shipping it when it had ZERO basis in-universe given what we ended up seeing onscreen. There was no attraction from either parties, something the characters themselves went through pains to get across, yet mouth-breathers just kept on insisting that they're soulmates or something.

Book 4: Air and Book 5: Spirits were apparently planned for ATLA, featuring things like Zutara (obviously), Aang finding a secret group of airbenders, Iroh's trip to the spirit world, Toph's reconciliation with her parents, Zuko finding his mother (in a completely different storyline from the comics), etc. The whole retcon/bullshit from the Beginnings episodes in LOK would likely have been avoided as well - Aang would feel a "darkness growing inside him" after using energybending, but the Avatar would still be a representation of the spirit of the planet.
Oh, and no chakra-unblocking rock in the finale.
