Is the show as bad as Rick and Morty?
>>
It's a lame, straight-faced sitcom for 70% of the season then it turns to emotional torture porn for the last 3 or 4. It's no Moral Orel Season 3 but it's alright.
>>
>>91163768
neither are bad

Remember 4Chan is for contrarians
>>
>>91165487
Unironic contrarianism is for newfag /tv/ and /pol/ mobileshits

Like the people who post "Reddit and Memey xdddd" are somehow too newfag to remember that we used to have viewthreads for RnM back in season 1 you know before the shitshow of our recent election ruined the entire site thanks to ebin kek memes ala /pol/
>>
>>91165487
>/co/ is one person

There are plenty who like and don't like particular media. Just because one makes a thread condemning said piece of media doesn't mean the collective group of hundreds of people that visit this site also suddenly hate it. Most of the time the people making threads condemning works balance the threads praising the works. They don't happen at the same time usually, although they do overlap.

Not defending Rick and Morty, but isn't it weird that /co/ asks for realistic cartoons but when a cartoon tries to show a real side of the negative side of humanity, the community that is infamous by the characteristic of being inflated by the negative side of humanity feels a almost immature repulse and need for to be torn apart from it?

Sayng "this is not how sad people really is", like the show is talking about a particular type of sad person that should reflect on them, and not a character that they created;

ladies (kek) and gentlemen, welcome to another worthless thread, the circlejerk has opened.

Pretty good, the whole plot was syspension of belief of that the bo could become healed again, the ending showed him trying to heal himself through attempted healing of others, before healing himself.
Wich concluded logically in, it doesn't work that way.

RnM:
Very interesting series, where the ending is unoredictable.

More RnM.
>>
Unironic opinion here, I think they're both pretty awful.

Rick and Morty is one of the shittiest shows I have ever seen, I don't know if there is anything worse

Explain why Rick and Morty is bad without mentioning reddit.

>>91163768
roiland and starburns never let their personal views taint an episode, or make a previously always-wrong flawed character suddenly right to push an agenda

of course it works that way you jizzrag. the only way to make anything better is to focus on helping others. if everyone just tries to help themselves, we all lose. it's fucking giant-chopsticks-tied-to-arms hell
granted you need to take the plank out of your eye so you can see better to take the speck out of your neighb's eye yeah, but.. still.

At least it has some cute animal people, like Bojack and the dog dude, to get porn out of.
>>
>>91170798

It's tonally inconsistent in whether we should care about the suffering of the characters. Like a lot of episodes are just silly shit that doesn't feel burdened by morals, or caring about on screen death until suddenly it's not.
>>
>>91172869

Also the stakes are pretty inconsistent. Like in the one episode where Rick and Morty fuck up the world so bad that they end up finding a universe where their alternate selves died at just the right time. If they can do that, it should be orders of magnitude easier to find a universe where the entire family never existed, and just go live there in the Season 2 finale.
>>
>>91163768
I enjoy it, though I think I won't be coming back for Season 5. I already watch enough media that tells me I'm a bad person for being a country bumpkin in a Fly over state.
>>
>>91163768
Everything except for the main character is enjoyable.
All the characters are fine but Bojack is an unlikeable pice of shit
>>
>>91163768
Nah, Rick and Morty can be funny sometimes. BH is just "look how miserable this character is, don't you find him relatable you sad fuck?" I mean, it's quite the original premise but the execution is lame, it feels like Bojack constantly ruins his own life not because of any complex psychological motivation -as the writers want you to believe- but rather because the premise/plot demands it. There's some slightly clever social commentary here and there but most of it comes out as extremely biased - and even hypochritical, imo - towards the staff's own beliefs or the premise that the world is unforgiving and nothing good ever happens to anyone (even though good things happen to other people just to make him look more miserable so...).
But it's still worth watching if you don't feel like doing anything constructive one particular afternoon, anyway.

>I mean, it's quite the original premise but the execution is lame, it feels like Bojack constantly ruins his own life not because of any complex psychological motivation -as the writers want you to believe- but rather because the premise/plot demands it.

I got the exact same feel when Bojack made out with the daughter of his ex-GF
>>
>>91173322
>not because of any complex psychological motivation -as the writers want you to believe- but rather because the premise/plot demands it

the only show I've seen which didn't have some element of this was the Wire
>>
>>91167700
Hey, /r/ick and m'orty is a great show fill of great memes. Like "TINY RICK!!" and "(Le)t's get schwifty!"

If your not inteligent enough to get it then that's fine, but don't pretend that show is dumb. Protip: it's not.
>>
>>91173419
The problem here is consistency, for example in >>91173385 no one was fulfilling any of the character roles established in the same episode (which already has issues): the girl just turns around, says "mom", gets told, starts "crying" as she goes away, bojack merely says "I'm sorry" and the mother just blurts out a death threat, all of this in the most monotone and emotionless way possible; the whole scenes was played by robots. And then, we get to the next season when they meet at that party and the girl starts spazzing out for no believable reason.
>>
>>91173758
>and the girl starts spazzing out for no believable reason.

that part makes sense, despite what she thinks she wanted at the time she is going to see Bojack as a predator, so of course when he shows up out of nowhere in a trenchcoat she freaks out
>>
>>91170021
>Princess Carolyn

A workaholic that needs to live with the costant fear that she is getting old and still don't have a family, and the possibility that maybe just professional will don't fill her void in the end, but she may not have a choice

>Diane

Pseudo intellectual that want to fight for things that she sooner discovers that she can't handle face to face, and discovers that like the "popular kids" in her school, he also isn't the "misunderstood nerdy girl" anymore, she is a adult, and there is things more important in the word than what "she belives"

>The dolphin lady and Sarah

Don't even let me start on it
>>
>>91173849
Well yeah, being surprised and scared is one thing, but nearly ceasing all brain functions is another, not even counting the fact that she was at a party with a lot of people and friends and there are things like telephones and police and stuff. And besides, at her current age she should be able to recognize that at the moment she actually stepped in o his room, she was taking as much advantage of his emotional state as he was of her age.
>>
>>91170166
you're response proves my point

>at her current age she should be able to recognize that at the moment she actually stepped in o his room, she was taking as much advantage of his emotional state as he was of her age

should but who do think society is going to teach her to blame?

>Well yeah, being surprised and scared is one thing, but nearly ceasing all brain functions is another

Some people do that though, plus she's a deer and the show loves its animal stereotypes
>>
>>91170021
Exactly the same goes for females though. Are you baiting?

i like both shows a lot desu

I like Rick and Morty, I don't like this. You feel like they might be going somewhere with Rick but with Bojack it's just him feeling sorry for himself.

I will admit it's deeper in the sense that the world in Rick and Morty is just retarded aliens called "schmoopy doop" and shit but it's a comedy show. Bojack can't decide if it's funny or sad.
