Logan always had a problem against authority, no matter who was in charge. The whole "let the leader speak" it's not Logan. It could easily be another person. Heck, Storm is there too, who was a mother figure to Kitty. She could easily be the "supporting leader figure", without Logan behaving out of character. Then again there are only a couple of writers that can write a complicated character like Logan. All the other fail miserably.
