I really like this duality they've created between the two. Its really somber to think this guy thought of Oliver as his best bro but now their at each others throats due to the path they've gone down in the last 5 years. Its kinda like what happened with Slade but when Oliver left Russia him and Anatoly we're sucking each other off basically, as opposed to Slade who was basically evil last time him and Oliver met before returning.

You could really see how hard it was for them to accept they're now enemies. I think they're doing a fantastic job this season in almost every judgeable aspect of this show.

yeah this season was definitely better than 1

Digger was being a little bitch in today's episode. You could pretty much take his dialog and swap it with felicity from seasons 3 or 4 and it's indistinguishable plus the "if you kill the mass murderer, that makes you the same as him" bullshit with the added bonus of "we need to save Thea's-er Oliver's soul" despite the fact that Oliver has killed loads of people, most of whom deserved it much less than Prometheus. If they let the Bratva kill him, those two guys at the end would still be alive and the likely future casualties in the upcoming episodes. Plus he's now got the Russian mob as enemies. And the footage could have easily been released after he was killed by the mob and it could have been explained that since he was a big criminal he had dealing with and crossed them. Thanks a lot Diggle. You made it much harder than it needed to be.

Shit writers always try to make characters more likeable by letting them suffer but with Arrow it just works for me. The Arrow team is just a bunch of fuck-ups, missfits and broken characters and they sure suffer for every decision they make, specially because of the horrible writing, this is such a trainwreck of a show and the characters have gone through all the shit because of that. I mean it was still a chore to get through season 3 and 4 but I couldn't help but want to see what the team is up to this time.

I really am glad I kept watching till this season, season 5 is like the conclusion of all the shit that had happened seasons before, it showed the effects on the characters, we see the effects of the experiences they've gone through and what those expiriences turned them into and the villian is like catalyst for all of that, enabling the past to punish every one of them once again. Its not really the suffering I enjoy though, its the process of them going trough all the shit, at this point its not even about having the moral higher ground but more about just keep going, just keep wearing the mask and trying to fight for a good cause, trying to not lose all sanity.

There were some really great moments in this season because of that like Thea helping Quentin to get into rehab or Oliver trying to stop Thea to get any worse and most of the moments between Dig and Oliver. Also Oliver breaking down everytime.
