In which I feel compelled to purge heresy in name of Emprah
Didn't see this one yet so I figured, why the hell not? Onwards to SPACE ADVENTURES
Also, as it turns out can't use a second IP so I'll be counting on anyone arond to not let this sink
>>91142100
Boy look at all those villains and distinct characters, I'm sure it'll be a blast to see them all appear and have great screentime and dialogue in this issue!

Much appreciated, anon

In my defense, I'm used to seeing Hal in a less painting-like artstyle. But as I said, it grew on me

I know it's probably supposed to be a punch, but I can't help but see that Ghost's worst consists on doing a weird tackle-tumble.

So, I'm going to admit I never really saw anything to do with Space Ghost, but he looks pretty strong. Is this about right?
I know him from a couple episodes of Coast to Coast but I was really young when I saw those.

Sadly no. All I know is this and Booster Gold x The Flinstones, which is also pretty fun.

This, Adam Strange/Future Quest, Booster Gold/Flintstones, Suicide Squad/Banana Splits.

It's because I'm pretty sure he uses 3d models to base his art off of. It's the same artist for Venom: Spaceknight

>>91142809
Anon, sometimes you just have to let small things go, so the story can advance.
If you're gonna pedant this hard over something so insignificant, go read novels instead. There's only so many panels a single issue can have, especially in a limited run.

This is my favorite part. I love the way the stars are drawn, and it is a bit feely, as short lived as this guy was.
>>91142968
I assume the shark he created was essentially a full on real shark, down to the smallest details, rather than a quick look a like. Creating something so 'real' would be a bigger drain on the battery, for not much gain at all.

Well, that was weird.
But that's it for the day folks, hope you had some fun, as short lived as this issue was. Thanks for reading!

Cheers anon
Thanks anon, as a pretty big fan of both, I really enjoyed seeing the two together.
Wish they'd have kept the others tool for longer though.
>>91143577
They really underplayed a lot of this stuff didn't they? But it's a special with limited ammount of pages, guess you can't be too picky.
You know, this was sort of fun. I might do another storytime later. I'm thinking American Alien, anyone thinks it's a good idea?

Thanks, OP.
While the writing was lazy in some parts, I enjoyed the story, and it had nice character moments
Also, the dialogue seemed unnatural to me, like they translated it with Google Translate from another language
Weird
>>91143031
Fuck, man.
;_;7
I liked it but I fucking hate how some people write the Lantern ring running out of power so damn quickly. It's just a lazy way to de-power them.
>making two constructs drains 25%+ of the power
Apart from that it was fun.
>>91146067
this so much.
Remember the story where Hal was stuck in super crazy deep space with practically no power left? His plan was going to be to store himself inside his ring, allowing it to float through space for trillions of years in the hopes that it would drift back closer to home.
Maintaining an entire human being for trillions of years, yet burns out making a square block.
This is one of the least bizarre crossovers, but it's followed by one of the oddest sneak peaks. I am somewhat shocked.
You know this story would've fit in really well with Green Lantern TAS. A nice self-contained episode where Hal got flung through a portal or something. Plus his ring was constantly really quickly running out of power in the show as well.this is now my head canon
>>91146441
>>91146067
It's the whole 'Superman-kryptonite' problem all over again.
GLs, especially Hal, should be so ridiculously overpowered in 'reality' that, I don't want to say 'bad', but bad writers have no idea how to challenge the character apart from removing their power.
When someone like Hal Jordan or Superman can take on their entire rogues gallery at once and still come out on top and be ready for round two, I guess some writers can't see another way around it.
I'm willing to let it pass for this issue, cause its a short special. You can only cram so much into it.
>>91142498
nananana batman
>>91146721
>GLs, especially Hal, should be so ridiculously overpowered in 'reality' that, I don't want to say 'bad', but bad writers have no idea how to challenge the character apart from removing their power.
They all have very exploitable weaknesses and those are all character weaknesses. Even the power itself can't withstand very powerful attacks of anything. Superman can punch his way through any GL construct, and so can many other space enemies. The battery is a great idea when used at the proper time, but it's didn't need to be used here at all and rarely should ever be used. Should only really be used when separated from the battery.
>>91142250
You should check out the Space Ghost series from 2004. Olivetti did the art for that as well and it's got less "google cut and paste" in it.
Up ye go
>>91142067
Why isn't there a Superman crossover with any of these guys?
>>91143332
Ah, man Cain is gonna be piiiiiiissed
I'm loving how much attention DC is giving Space Ghost recently. I kind of want an ongoing or at least another solo mini now.
I mean, I know it's all part of DC taking advantage of their Hanna-Barbera rights, but still. Space Ghost was always one of my favorite HB characters.
KIMOTA.

They literally tracked the weapon to within 5 meters of the farm. That's why the girl showed up in the first place. They were fighting on their property. Not lazy, just pay attention.
