I guess they wanted something that invoke cheapness in the mind of the viewers.

NAAAAHH
>>
>>91141697
I don't know. I won't deny this is cheap, but they have managed to come out with high production value cheapness, there, if it makes any sense.
>>
>>91141248
And this is how you get people to remember your ad, and talk about your product.

You know, if they did the supposed (let's face it, it's going to happen) Master's of the Universe movie with these costumes. It would actually be hailed as unique for foregoing the usual 'gritty reboot' tripe and simply having a fun campy romp while being faithful to the source material.

Of course, that won't happen.

I saw this advert while watching Benidorm, He-Man live action movie when?

I felt the exact same way. That's why this made me really happy then really sad.

Skeletor will have his face completely obscured and sound like Nolan's Batman while He-Man himself will transform from angsty/awkward child to Captain America.

Bong here. Have no idea why you guys like this shit.
This company's adverts are the epitome of obnoxious flinging shit at a wall until it sticks. Before this it was some gay ass shit that they tried to promote with a Twitter hashtag with some dudes dancing at each other.
It was seriously one of the worst adverts on television and I reckon most people over the age of 12 you'd talk to would agree. It was damn embarrassing on /sp/ when people would be watching British streams. I'd link it but I don't even want to waste my time searching for that shit.
From the looks of it it looks like they're switching to Skeletor now and while it is significantly better, I don't like this shit at all.
The company isn't based around them, it's just their current new marketing gimmick. They've also been around forever.

Anyway, we have a Bank over here using Top Cat, Flinstones and Thunderbirds and bastardising those for commercial gain in their adverts too. Those adverts are pretty bad and honestly I'm not sure who they're even aimed at. Those shows long since stopped airing here and I'm not sure someone's going to switch Banks because they saw Fred Flinstone bloody do it.
>>
>>91149023

>>
>>91149023

Cringeworthy "viral" marketing? Gimmicky use of old or dead IPs?
All done ad nauseam. And unless this company is the next Nestlé I don't think that is relevant either. Not that this is any form of legitimation, but I don't see how you can muster up the energy to consider it offensively bad

Thanks.

>you've mentioned nothing that hasn't been done before.
The point wasn't that it hasn't been done before. I didn't say it's the "epitome of obnoxious flinging shit" for no reason. "epitome" alone implies there's a sea of shit out there that does the same, but this is the absolute worst. The point was to inform the unaware anons here what this bollocks all about.

And I swear if you were a Brit and you had to sit through their terrible commercial for months, no actually, years now, you'd feel the same way.
It was ass, it was always on and it was terrible and we sat through it long enough. It never went away and we have other commercials that do the same shit and still haven't gone away. Go Compare being one of them. I'm glad MoneySupermarket has changed it now, but that doesn't change the fact they kept that trite on our television sets for far too long.
>>
>>91151219
Yeah that fucking sucks, now I get it. Maybe it doesn't help that it's this late already and I'm a little dense.

Also, reading what you said to the other guy, I can relate. A Kraut sitting in his room at fucking 3:43 (thanks daylight saving time) discussing with a brit a difference of opinion that ultimately boiled down to nothing after a few exchanges. It sounds like the setup for a contrived joke.
