I wonder how far Jhonen would go with it. I doubt he would turn it into a gorefest but I'm sure there would be body horror episodes. He mentioned in an interview that the series was supposed to go in a sci-fi direction with Dib chasing Zim across space and eventually invading the Irken homeworld. Would be interesting to see it play out.
