The characters stress that "going Turbo" is fucking bad and is used as a precautionary tale to make sure that no video game character tries to go to another console, not only because a character can die permanently outside their own game but because doing so renders the source game completely unplayable, and often results in the hopped-to game unplayable as well. As such, every character in the arcade is told multiple times to never game hop, and the crux of the drama of the first movie came from Ralph "going Turbo" and nearly destroying both Fix-It Felix and Sugar Rush. After learning his lesson, Ralph would have to be pretty damn stupid to do the same shit again.

It happened once when Turbo tried to brute force himself into the game's code. Unless you're trying to suggest that Sugar Rush was completely unplayable when he went into that and this time carefully adjusted it.
