Lori goes to college. Shenanigans ensue as they are dealing with her going. Something goes wrong, they are all happy Lori isn't leaving. Lori is sad. They fix problem. Lori is happy and goes to college which unbeknownst to the rest of the cast is right down the street and nothing will change.

I also don't think this will actually become a movie. There is no way the show is doing that good to survive 3 more years.

I'm not talking about a specific reference so much as a general influence. Loud House and Harvey Beaks are both slice of life shows set in timeless, idyllic neighborhoods, where a young boy is the POV character but the supporting cast gets a lot of the spotlight as well. Harvey Beaks was more like Charlie Brown in terms of personality, while the Loud House has that newspaper comic strip animation style.

That might sound too vague, but that's what I meant.

Got a decent number of episodes and ratings considering the complete lack of support, promotion, or reruns. 52 half hours (more than Chowder), a proper finale, and it almost always got over 1m viewers, and usually a couple points above that, which is something CN constantly struggles to do nowadays (a far cry from back when Adventure Time was getting 3 million+ viewers). But it just wasn't enough for Nick, sadly.
It's a beautiful sef-contained little thing with its own tiny cult but someday there will be people (who are little kids now) who will have a ton of nosalgia for that shit. There's some value in ending before it had the chance to decline or we had to hear Harvey's voice go through puberty.
I would've liked to see it get to 65 episodes, syndication length and what Disney used to cap the series' lengths at, but alas now it will be sitting in the same company as OG Samurai Jack, Rocko's Modern Life, Ren & Stimpy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Home Movies...

I like Loud House, and I think the "30 minute" episode was one of the best, but it's way too early for a movie. IMO, movies should be finales or status quo breakers. Something like "Lori goes to college" is good for the former, "Time Skip so we get a new baby, old enough to talk Lily, and a new 2 Boys, 10 Girls intro" is good for the latter.

Anything that's just "episode but longer" is pointless.

Lynn Sr goes on some sappy thing saying that as a kid he didn't really care about having no family, but his adopted parents taught him that family is more than blood, and that he had a family with his fellow kids at the orphanage all along. Throw in a joke of Rita grumpily pointing out that she knows better than anyone that they are all her kids. Ending has the Loud kids reunite Lynn Sr with his old friends.
