>Unironically claiming Jean is your favorite X-Man
This is how I know our culture has anima problems. Jean is just a female shaped vessel for you to dump your mother/girlfriend/wife obsession on to. She has no character whatsoever. Literally every single other female mutant in the marvel universe is more interesting than Jean Grey. Give me a fucking Marrow story before I have no read more about Jean again. Christ.
>>91125057
>some shit writing from the IvX fiasco
What? This is from Bendis' run.
>>91125537
>She has no character whatsoever.
She does in Simonson's X-Factor, it's practically the one time she isn't dead, the object of a love triangle, or The Phoenix
>>91125537
She was pretty good during Simonson's X-Factor
And I think Morrison's Jean was interesting too

You do realize that your example of a "straight Iceman" is a scene of him LITERALLY listing flirting with a woman as a chore on his daily to-do list?
For real dude, this argument shouldn't be made this easy for me.
>>91123933
Look Im not gonna say Jean ain't a bunch of shit but you're really gonna sit there and tell me Rogue, especially 90s Rogue is better?
>>91125537
When I say Jean is my favorite, I mean the time displaced young one. Who does have personality.
There are two kinds of people in this thread.
People who say Nightcrawler and people who are wrong.
>>91126982
Yes.
>>91126982
She is, shugah
>>91126982
90's Rogue was a fun and enjoyable character with a cool conceit.
Especially in comparison to 90's Jean who was dull as dishwater and was about as visually interesting.
>>91122744
This motherfucker right here.
I've also got a soft spot for Warren.

>"inverted"
So far that has meant that he's now loyal to his brother.
And when the hell is he going to call in a favor from Elixir (or even Masque) to fix that damned scarring?
>>91126983
That's even worse.
>>91127052

>>91127478
Modern Jubilee is, by far, the best Jubilee.
>>91122744
When I was a kid it was colossus, nightcrawler, Cyclops, then wolverine. In that order.
Now some years later it's Cyclops, cannonball, cable, and all the X-kid before hope and her gay ass not a team
>>91127388
Claremont's Rogue was great, I love her
>>91127548
Likes Bendis' pet and shitty modern Jubilee, boy you really know how to pick 'em anon. I bet it has nothing at all to do with her being made into a certain Cass Cain ripoff's designated rug muncher.
>>91127041
They should have just had a second alt-U "classic" version of Bishop show up from another future timeline instead of doing that half-assed fix of crazy-bald-cyborg-Bish'.
He is one of the few characters where time-travel retcon shit like that could be acceptable.
And Warren? Which one?
Angel? Archangel? Dark Angel? Apocalypse Angel? O5 Angel? O5 Flamer Angel?
>>91125685
>She was pretty good during Simonson's X-Factor
No

Absolutely no.

Archangel, bruh. One of my favorite old issues was him and Psylocke discovering Cameron Hodge was still alive via Phalanx shenanigans.
I love all the Mutant Girls but by bro is always Nightcrawler.
>>91127867
You're telling me. One of my favorite plotlines in 90's X-Men was them discovering Bobby was Omega-Level because he could control the temperature of individual atoms.
They could have done a shitload of stories out of that.
Instead, we get Gay Bobby for no fucking reason.

I know it's wrong but I've always liked Gambit.
I like the X-Men as a whole, but my top favorites are Beast, Emma Frost, Cyclops, and Abigail Brand (yes I know she isn't an actual X-Man, so fuck off).
If asked what my favorite team was, it would be Grant Morrison's New X-Men.
>>91128553
I wonder if Mr Sinster diddled those boys
>>91128357
I also like Archangel. To me it's the only version that's interesting.

Havok
Is the straight mans choice in this gay agenda tainted franchise
It used to be Iceman
Stepford Cuckoos
I'd love them to have a more prominent role in any series.
This woman right here...at least THIS version of her.
>>91129614
Rarely have I been as butt flustered as the issue of Uncanny where the Cuckoos took the young X-Men and split off to be their own team based out of the abandoned Hellfire Club
then next issue they all quit immediately because some random mutie hater glassed Goldballs and they crawl back to be school students at the JGS lol
Gambit because thats the only love this shit state will ever get.
Sexy girl Wolverine
Nightcrawler, CecĂlia Reyes and Iceman
>>91129055
Is havok the only Xmen left for bros?
>>91122744
before all the Magneto/not Magneto bullshit he was a great character. That whole plot twist and what came after it was when I started to take a more critical eye on Morrison's writing.
Not Cyclops, that's for sure.
Cyclops
Cable
Rogue
Gambit
Wolverine
Storm
In that order.

When he was still straight my fave was Iceman
Now its Archangel xforce and Elixir when he is still alive
I also like Hellion, Justice (not an xmen buy a mutie none the less) I want them to team up
>>91123743
He wasn't "right" about anything.
He risked the extinction of both humans and mutants just because he wouldn't take Hope to a deserted planet to merge with it so in case should couldn't control it there might be a tiny bit of time to prepare or evacuate the planet.
Not all X-Men but my favorite mutants overall...
> 1.) Domino
I am in hell on earth with the sadistic spiteful casting in DP2. Mother fuckers.
> 2.) Scarlet Witch
> 3.) Omega Red
> 4.) Storm

Wolverine, Spiral & Remus are some honorable mentions. (I like swordswomen sue me)

Weird. I can see Wolverine getting people into comcis but can't see someone who knows nothing about X-Men seeing a female Wolverine clone and picking that as the first comic to ever read.
Based Nightcrawler
Storm
Chamber
>>91135555
Someone posted it as a storytime here and I've always loved the "Badass little girl" archetype so I looked into her, read everything I could find.
Didn't like her beating wolverines training time in her origin story at first since I liked him more from the cartoons but after awhile she became more then just a badass little girl and I began to appreciate her character more and now I'm okay with it.
After I was done with all her stuff I read the civil war event that I had heard so much about and spread through marvel from there.
Transmetropolitan was actually the first comic I read and I loved it, but since it wasn't part of a larger universe when I finished it there was no natural point to go to next. It took X-23 to get me hooked
