If anything has a chance it's Logan, and even then I'd be very, very surprised if it actually got a nomination in the first place.

Because it didn't, but came close, every movie to come after it has been a dark, realistic, reboot of an uplifting superhero.

The Oscar judges are run by pretentious old people that care about image and exclusivity more then anything.

With that said, they're very few capefilms I'd honestly say even is worth getting such a title. MCU is to repetitive and middle of the road, DCEU and Sony are complete shitshows as of right now.

Logan and Fox in general seem to be the closest thing to reach such a level of depth because they're the ones most willing to take risks with the genre, and even then they're line up of quality is hit and miss.
