What cartoon had the best toys and why was it transformers?
>>91115545
>Toys don't look even remotely like the cartoon and comic depictions, despite having been made first.
I'm not a SHOW ACCURACY fag, but there's no defending something like the unrecognizable differences between Cartoon Ironhide/Ratchet and Toy Ironhide/Ratchet.

>literally every other character looks like the toy
Weak bait desu
>>91115854
>If your family was rich enough to buy you that
You probably grew up to be a bad person.
>>91115884
>TFW barron trump probably has that somewhere
Lucky brat
So does anyone know what the hell is up with this?
Comiclist lists it as cancelled.

>tfw i had two of these aircraft carriers
My favorite was the cobra warthog stuka attack plane

Yep, couldn't agree more. That toy line defined excellent playsets and literally every toyline after it can only bask in it's glory. The Terrordrome, USS Flagg, and Reliant Space Station will never ever be topped.

My rich cousin had this and he wasn't a bad person. He was always great about letting me play with his Joes and Transformers and I was always careful, even as a 5-year-old, because I knew this stuff was special.

Ironhide and Ratchet were not designed as robots in mind. They were original designed as exo suits essentially.
but yeah it looks fucking awful.
>>91115545
When is there going to be an actual transformers model that you can build using metal parts.
>>91115545
Specifically, Transformers: Cybertron. That line had so many excellent molds.
>>91117950
>tfw my Unicron's headpiece snapped off because of the stupid clear plastic.
Lost Energon Demolisher to the same thing. Fuck clear plastic hinges.

> G1 Transformers had beautiful art on the boxes.
> Modern TF's have shitty headshots.
>>91118032
I wrote it as a christmas gift from santa and my dad and my aunt bought it for me
>>91117950
Man, Cybertron was the first Transformers like I ever too seriously. I still have several of the figures I bought when I was younger.

They put that art in a book you know.
>>91118283
When did that come out?
>>91118322
2014.
That said, most- if not almost all- G1 box art is also on Botch the Crab's site in good quality.

I'll never understand why gold plastic syndrome gets all the attention but clear plastic gets a free pass. I've had more problems with clear plastic than GPS in the past. It's sickening. They never make anything to last anymore.

Same here. That was the same year I got my first job and was still living at home so I bought toys almost every single week. Then I moved out and had to pay bills and shit...

I can't recommend this book highly enough, but if it's a little too rich for your blood now that it's been out a few years, >>91119847 is right about botchthecrab.com. It's a great database for all Transformers boxart.

Only after season 3. Once Rodimus and crew came in no toy resembled the series character.
And the scale went to shit. Galvatron was larger than all of the combiners
