How many have we even gotten since AvX besides the O5? Sharktits, that healer guy, Goldballs, and Tempus, right? Tempus warped herself out of existence and Goldballs got shunted to Miles' supporting cast.

Why is Marvel so hung-up over the teen versions of the O5? The original X-Men books got canned in the 70's and they were forced to guest-star in other titles. It wasn't until 1975 with the All-New All-Different X-Men that the franchise became popular. Storm, Nightcrawler, and Wolverine are loads more interesting than 5 white kids that could pass for everyday teens.

Get Guggenheim to write for X-men Gold and give leadership role to one of the most hated X-men in recent memory.
