I actually enjoyed that Joris acted like a kid. Who uses kid logic to determine that he would be justified in going to see Khan. Even if it meant he was to get into trouble.

What's going on with Dofus, anyway? The series is only available on DVD in France, the only blu-ray is a Region 2 copy of the film, and the whole thing was never included in the Wakfu kickstarter.
Does anyone know if they have plans to start another separate kickstarter for Dofus or if they have any plans on bringing the series/film on physical media for other countries?

They just need to make subtitles for the series in various languages. For everything (behind the scenes, etc.) and then make them available for those other markets.
Its nice that they put the movie up on Steam for download and watching, but their reach is going to be relatively small. They need to put that on Netflix and such.

Wakfu's kickstarter was a risk, and it ended up being kind of a mess, so I don't think they'll do it for just a movie.
They didn't add the movie on the Wakfu kickstarter mainly because that kickstarter was on 2013 and the movie on 2016, so yeah, Ankama aren't time travelers yet.
As for bringing it physically to other countries, I doubt it considering it didn't do well in France. It's not going to be better in countries where Dofus is known even less.

I believe that's incorrect. The campaign started on January 20, 2014 and according to Wikipedia the series ended a few weeks later.
Either way, there were definitely some people clamoring for a Dofus KS during and after the Wakfu campaign, but I don't think Tot intends to return to the platform. They did their own crowdfunding thing for Wakfu S3, they don't seem to intend to crowdfund Krosmaga as they initially planned and I *think* Tot mentioned something about established companies that use Kickstarter getting a bad rap from some customers. Which isn't surprising when you see people complain about Ankama SELLING things instead of giving them away for free to their Dofus subscribers.

He gets introduced in episode 20 or something, appears again in like the semi final episode of that season, and then again in a very few scenes in season 2 when the representatives of each nation have a meeting.
And then there's the Wakfus OVAs, where he join the wakfu main group for a mission, he also goes through a minor redesign and now you can see his mouth, and his face looks a little more like his young design.

There's a "Dofus T5" listed for June on Amazon with no other info, and at the usual pace it seems plausible. And I do have the first four. I think the latest one (La Pyramide d'ocre) was probably the best one so far, although the third was interesting since it involved Bolgrot and had an appearance by Ereziah Melkewel, who is sort of famous for stopping Djaul from stealing the Dofus Bolgrot was born from.

I can only hope. There's been good times with Wakfu but the cast is a mess and the OVAs were a trainwreck. I don't expect things will get much better in season 3 (but it sure has the eye candy), although with Tot doing all the writing we can at least expect something more cohesive.

Oh, I totally missed that. I'll have to pick it up then. I only watched the ripped version way back when it first came out. It's absolutely worth it at that price point. It was a solid movie that seems like they put a lot of effort into, which makes it all the sadder that they likely won't be able to follow up on it anytime soon.

Well I'm the kind of guy to watch a movie before I decide whether to buy it so I wouldn't tell you to buy it blindly. For what it's worth I own it on DVD and have considered buying it again on Steam just to write a positive review.

Didn't like the visual changes but that's more subjective (not that the rest isn't). The powerlevels are getting way out of hand, half the main cast does practically nothing, Yugo is apparently getting dumber and edgier as he grows up and Adamai keeps being an insufferable cunt. I'm also pretty mad about Harebourg's design change and his entire plan was fucking dumb. The whole thing felt like an excuse to stage three different boss fights that really had nothing to do with one another.

Which is also why I'm happy to give them money as I can. Although spending money on Krosmaga to me is a little much. However if I get back into Wakfu I wouldn't mind spending money on a booster pack or two.
They just need to translate and make more widely available all of the other media they produce. In terms of comics and such. Heck I would be interested in giving MutaFukazs a read if it was in english.
Especially with a movie coming out within the next couple of years.

What surprises me is that I can't think of many series that has artbooks dedicated to whole episodes. Most of the time you'd have art books dedicated to a series on the whole. Not just a single episode or two.
Ankama certainly has scope, but their execution kind of misses the mark a little.
