It's like a cartoon for little kids, except it's good. Creators actually put effort in it. Cute characters, good writing, would recommend.

There is an overarching plot, and I love how its dark turns contrast with the cheerful mood of the series.

Used Wayback Machine to visit the old site. Now I'm really impressed with Hasbro's work. They salvaged such a shitty property and made a good cartoon out of it.

Not sure why they ended up buying Hanazuki instead of just making their own setting. It makes little sense.

Was the fashion side any good? It's almost impossible to google, like if it never existed at all.

The amount of merch they have ready is concerning. At one hand, it shows that Hasbro is serious about making Hanazuki into a big show. At other, if the toys wouldn't sell well enough, the show is doomed.

Actually this is a prequel, anon. The "Big Bad" is actually Aku before he took form and became sentient. The series finale will lead up to the point when Odin, Ra, and Rama attempted to wipe out Aku in his black miasma form.

i kept hoping that she didnt abandon everyone but that she was actually kidnapped by something bigger. even dazzy J said in ep 17 that he couldnt figure out how she single handedly took all the trees. i mean look at this thing. you could barely fit 1 tree in there

maybe what ever is out there saw this moon with all these treasure trees and mistook kiazuki for the one who grew them so they kidnapped her and the trees

She never planned to use her ship for helping Hemkas escape, that's clear. She noticeably lied every time she was telling it.

Luckily for Kiazuki, Hemkas have no experience with uncovering lies. I think she knew that: when Hanazuki was around, she put effort in sounding convincing.

There's not a whole helluva lot to draw, unfortunately. Once you've drawn the moonflowers, there's not a ton else that's interesting to draw, other than to draw them again.

I'd actually love to draw more Hanazuki stuff myself, but I frankly have no ideas.

Maybe once Hasbro actually starts really advertising it, more artists might give it a whirl. Until then, maybe people could request something in the drawthreads, stone-dead as they might be.

She clearly hates Zikoro and would like him to just die on Hanazuki's moon. Usually in a cartoon with a character like that you'd expect her to eventually realize that she was being too mean and actually loved Zikoro but Kiazuki is incapable of love.
