I haven't spoken to her in about thirteen years. When our father fell ill, she was living with him, sponging off of him, mooching off of him, even as an adult. When he had to be hospitalized for the illness which would ultimately kill him, she realized he was no longer a viable host for her parasitism and lost interest in him. She stole all of his valuables from his home and disappeared. She never spoke to him again until his dying day. Then a few months later, when THAT money dried up, she came to me looking for charity, after not having spoken to me in something like seven years. I was disgusted with the ludicrous transparency of the ruse. Coming to me with her hands outstretched, looking for a handout with hands still dripping red with the blood spilled from stabbing our father in the back. I haven't spoken with her since and hope I never will again.

At a certain point I just accepted that my sister was no different than any other bully that I grew up with in school, aside from the fact that I happen to share a few genes with her and she happened to live in the same house as I did. I'm not obligated to talk to any of those small-town assholes and I'm not obligated to talk to her.
