I was blown away. Why is no one talking about this?
Because's /co/ doesn't read Valiant. Myself included. Where should I start anon?

Literally this issue. Or any other #1 that looks interesting to you. Almost everything's great besides Shadowman, A+A (the latest series), Dead Drop, and Generation Zero.
>>91000487
This thing is literally sitting under the scoop I use to get the shit out of my cats kitty litter box.
Should I have read it?
>>91000659
Cool. I may start with the previous X-O series. I read a few pages from this yesterday and thought it was exceptional. Thanks for the suggestion.
Because reasons.
More than one reason.
>>91000487
If it's not Marvel or DC, /co/ won't read it.
Is this board the most casual hobby board on 4chan?
>>91002324
Yep. We could do with some elitism to filter out the people who are just here for the movies.
I'm actually on the way to the comic shop to pick it up
>>91002324
That's usually my takeaway when I see most storytimes and discussions here, yet I see a surprising amount of good taste in shelf threads.
>>91002352
I actually despise the extreme elitism of /lit/ or /a/, but /co/ is just too forgiving with casuals.
It used to work some years ago, but now with the influx of /tv/shitters it's gotten really bad. They don't actually want to learn more about the medium, they just want to pretend like they know what they're talking about while engaging in /v/-tier company wars. I don't have a problem with newbies that are not that up to speed with comics and want to learn more, but I really hate the smug shitters on here that spout secondhand opinions while acting all high and mighty.
>>91000487
So they relaunched it recently? I tried out Venditti's series, but I didn't like it much, is this better?
>>91000599
Why there comics are great
>>91002370
Got it. It better be good OP
>>91000487
I remember being excited when it got announced, and then competently forgot about it.
>>91002324
>Is this board the most casual hobby board on 4chan?
Well it's up there with /tv/, hard to tell which is worse.
>>91003573
/tv/ is much worse its pretty much non-stop shitposting and /pol/bait.
>>91004382
/tv/ is far and away the worst board, probably because there is literally zero barrier to entry when it comes to guzzling down the latest filler networks spew out between commercials. It's also frequented by the type of people who define themselves based on the type of media they consume (which is pretty meaningless and pathetic, like calling yourself a gamer), while at least /co/ has some creators in the bunch.
>>91000487
Because Valiant is the very definition of mediocre and it's a known fact they hire shills and shit.
>>91000487
Only one issue but its shaping up to be good
But after Faith was promoted so heavily tons of people avoid Valiant on the assumption its nothing but political pandering.
Jim Shooter didn't die for this
