Website wars in general are feeling a little tired at this point desu. There are positives and negatives to both 4chan and reddit. Hell, there's positives to tumblr as well. 4chan has live discussion of comics through story times and the lack of moderation allows more shit to get through, like Win-O threads. Plus draw threads are neat but I never go there. However, news can be easy to miss and the same lack of control that makes it great can be it's downfall when people pull shit like posting images mid-storytime. Reddit on the other hand is much worse at letting people read comics quasi-legally and doesn't have draw threads as far as I know. However it is easier to find news articles and trough the sub system you can make it so you can only see comics and cartoons you care about. I don't personally use tumblr but it seems to be the place that most people post their fan content. But seriously, if you're not using at least two types of site to discuss your hobbies you're doing yourself a disservice.

With the right kind of personality, religion can be exhilarating. You've basically got this awesome friend who loves you (and you specifically), is all powerful and will protect you and take care of you, and all he asks you to do is follow his set of perfect rules that will make you feel like a good, righteous, morally superior person for following them. Abrahamic religion serves not the natural world, but its own cosmology. With a few exceptions (that make more sense in philosophical context anyway), God doesn't explain jack shit about *how* things happen.

And there's no reason why those pagan beliefs, despite their cosmological truths, can't be seen as having value beneficial to a society.
