Online's gameplay looked shitty, but had amazing animated trailers that paired up X and Megaman for the first time, and had a lot of neat cameos.

Universe looked like shit, but had a level editor and some interestingly unique "Megamen" to run through levels as. Like "Bad Box Art Megaman," and they all had tweaks to make them play different.

And Maverick Hunter is about as unfaithful as this new TV show, frankly. It's COD-ified Megaman. Machine guns, nukes, and made X look like Cobra-fucking-Commander.

Legends 3 is the only game I'm genuinely upset about. A game that was announced some 11 or 12 years after the previous game in the franchise's cliffhanger ending. It had some promising premise, a lot of fun discussion about the development, and did I mention an end to the ancient cliffhanger? It also would have been Volnutt's chance to turn his 2-way waifu battle into a 4-more way harem. It could have been Megaman Muyo!

Honestly I think this seems fine. Now this show is for younger children right? During the show it'll have moments where Mega Man interacts with the young audience and ask them to find shapes and other stuff in the background to teach them basic things like shape names, color names, etc, right? Because it gives me that kind of vibe.

I honestly don't find the concept of Mega Man being a human or robot boy, I can't remember what he's supposed to be in this show, that transforms into Mega Man offensive. Dude my man......the Megaman ZX series of games FLOPPED. Fans did NOT like playing as humans who cosplay as Megaman. And the only reason later games in the timeline had robots being Megaman like Volnutt from Legends is because Legends came out during the time of the X series where the idea of Megaman always being a robot of some sort was still cemented.

ZX came YEARS later when Capcom was experimenting much more (which also led to the creation of the Zero series as well). So yeah, during those years ZX's concept of humans pretending to be Megaman? That did not sell.

I'll be honest with you. The only reason I didn't board the ZX hype train is because it was early in the DS' lifespan and I hadn't made the jump.

Additionally, instead of giving it its own identity, they stupidly used the exact same art style, to the point where the protagonist is almost indistinguishable from MMZ Zero. The games look and feel like Megaman Zero 5 and 6, which is about the point people burn out on a series.

I don't get why making a simple Mega Man cartoon is so hard for these guys that they've gone through 3 different versions already. How is this such a hard concept to grasp?

It doesn't even have to be super serious all the time. Have an episode of Mega Man taking care of some kid's pet porcupine. Have an episode that focuses on what Wily does when he's not pulling off an evil scheme. Have an episode where Crash Man and Needle Man attend group therapy. Have an episode where Protoman goes around town and keeps getting mistaken for Mega Man.

Even with stupid episodes like Curse of the Lion Men and it's stupid muscular designs, at least the Ruby-Spears cartoon felt like it was a Mega Man cartoon at some points. This just feels like your average "teen gets superpowers and fights bad guys" cartoon based on what we've seen.
