I would say neutral. A lot of the time his motivation seems to be making others suffer for his ego and entertainment but he does seem to care for some individuals in his own way.

Neutral Good is "pure good", Neutral Evil is "pure evil", Lawful Neutral is "pure law", and Chaotic Neutral is "pure chaos".

Neutrality's inherent...well, neutrality, means that any other alignment modifier paired with it is an indication of that modifier being in its purest form, right down to "Neutral" being, indeed, "pure Neutral" (sometimes called True Neutral, sometimes just Neutral).
