In the movie, she was more of a babbling idiot than an antagonist. In the book, she was trying to make some Lord of the Flies shit go down, so shooting her made a lot more sense.

I actually don't mind some of the Deitch shorts (the western one is one of my favorites), but the three ones with this fat guy are just too goddamn painful. The Czech animators couldn't grasp the breakneck feel of American slapstick, thus making their slapstick come out as agonizing and oddly realistic.
