My point is just look at anything with a male hero versus anything with a female hero.

The male hero has to confront something about HIS NATURE that is holding him back, whether its his father or his own sense of unworthiness or his uncertainty over his sense of right and wrong.

Female heroes on the other hand have to confront the fact that not everyone thinks she's awesome yet. Women are "already perfect" and the only problem is that they just haven't been properly recognized for it.

More specifically, must has been said about the madonna/whore dichotomy at the core of male sexual desire while never attempting to understand if there is an equivalent pair of competing desires in women. There is, it's the father/conqueror dichotomy and it's how women "accidentally" end up in situations with men who don't take no for an answer.

So, there IS something there.

I personally dont care, it contradicts canon too much. Odin already could lift the hammer many a times before, and Odin has literally proven the hammer obeys HIM before Thor, if he chooses to.
