Fuck KissCartoon. They can shove their KPoints way up their streaming shit funnel.
>>
>>90942735
That only applies for the first episode if you're watching an existing series. By the time I'm done watching the first episode, the next 5 will be downloaded.

If it's a new episode then sure, you may have to wait, but some torrent clients support front-to-back downloading and concurrent playback.

Also pretty much always DL quality > stream quality.

Another positive for torrents is RSS support. Episodes are downloaded as soon as they're available without having to check.

I really wish someone would make a good private tracker for western cartoons. Downloading anime is almost always more convenient than cartoons.
>>
>>90942353
If you're too dumb to click the actual video links you shouldn't be using the site anyway. Stop viewing it as the video host and instead a site that links to googlevideo of every show. Because that's what it is.

Easier? Yes. But the trade off is actually being able to watch it in highest quality available, the way it was intended. There are a lot of shows/movies out there that are with gorgeous visuals that you doing a huge disservice to when you compress them down for streaming.

Faster? Barely. The average torrent for a single episode of a television show will take 5 minutes to download, like 10 at the max.

Default mpv looks better and I don't have to tinker with madvr/cccp/kcp to prevent my GPU from heating up. My only gripe is that it's a little too barebones, as there's no recent history by default, and you need a script to add that functionality.

Then if I like the episode, I keep it so I can watch it later. Plus I can copy it to all my shit, and take it with me anywhere.
Plus Plus the quality is always better.

The media painted a huge fear on torrenting throughout the late 90's and mid 2000's but mostly its just things like viruses scare people off. Casuals don't want to learn how computers or software work which I believe is what starts this phobia of getting viruses from any and everything that windows or apple doesn't tell them too.

I had a friend whos internet is now incredibly shit after ignoring 2 of those letters. It cuts in and out constantly and playing games online is 100% impossible now. Not always. Tons of cities in America have monopolized areas with only 1 ISP. If a new ISP moves in they bribe the city to make it as difficult and as painful as possible for them to do any work. The internet situation in burgerland is sorta fucked until google fiber becomes mainstream. There are literal cases of google moving into a city and suddenly the local ISPs who have struggled for years to provide speedy internet are suddenly capable of going 100x faster than what they were previously at half the cost.

Typically most areas have 2 ISPs a phone company and a cable company. I'm not entirely sure why that is, something to do with the FCC but it's pretty well divided up. It has something to do with who owns what tiers of the internet but the whole thing is pretty incestuous. If Trump does anything at all I hope he deregulates that shit. I'd love to see ISPs scramble for new turf. You'd see gigabit speeds for under a hundred bucks pop up in any town with more than 10k overnight.

ISPs right now suck because they're already basically soft monopolies. All the parties shake hands and play nice in the right territory. We're already paying way more than we should for internet. I just managed to get 100 mbps internet last week and it's capped all to hell. Before that I was stuck with 3 but i didn't have a cap. I really miss that board. Its a shame when mega first went down every other site panicked and purged everything. I miss downloading so much random crap from there. Its pretty redundant now with so many new sites picking up the slack. But it makes me feel sad knowing every single site I loved back then is dead.

Anyone remember rapidshare happy hour with no limits? In the time it took me to read a comic the next one was ready to be downloaded, but with happy hour I would go full speed demon mode and try to download a whole series.

Funnily enough the thing that got me reading comics again was when someone uploaded all of the new Green Lantern stuff leading into the Sinistro Corps war was a torrent rather than a rapidshare. Torrenting latest issues of a comic still sucks though. People never seed for more than a day sometimes, especially on obscure stuff.

Not that mobile users would ever recognize superior quality even if it bit them in the dick.

HOW?
If you have the aforementioned 3rd world internet then maybe, since 3rd world ISPs like to put a cap on as well, just to really go balls deep with the ass rape.

Pretty much everything on your list outside of ponies is something I saw before I started hoarding, and just haven't kept it to rewatch it yet. Beck is one of the few things I didn't watch 5+ years ago, with Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari, which is newer than the rest of your list and I probably skipped it specifically because I had to get through all those shitty harems first and got burnt out on them. I'll probably get it next time I need a harem to cheer me up.

Kanon is great, but for that I have a VN folder.

I never saw Skip Beat though, from a quick google search I'm guessing I just dismissed it as one of the many Shoujo series I'd never like. I'll check it out.

In that anon's defense, there are a lot of fakey law firms that upload stuff to torrent sites and then sent out legal notices when people download them. It's illegal but it's one of the methods they use to land people in court. It takes a while before you can catch them doing it.

It's illegal because if the law firm uploads it and they have rights related to it, then they're distributing it lawfully and people are downloading it lawfully.

It happens most often with porn, though, since people usually don't want their fetish on public record and they cave to the settlement demands.

Archive-fag here, it gives me a boner too. I actually started archiving shit and got about 80 shows because I knew I'd have to stop my internet bill for at least a few months to pay all my bills on time without loans or any shit, and then I realized how fucking convenient it is to just be able to watch anything you want in a few clicks once you have it. No ads, no loading webpages or tabs or anything else, no chance the audio/video/subs are shit (if you check quickly after each download), ect.

When my internet bill was something I could handle again, I just started fucking hoarding shows I used to like, I'd just think "hmm... I remember watching Alien 9 a long time ago, let's grab that one just in case" and ended up getting the folder I posted after a while.

Note that I DO delete stuff: Anything I watched and didn't like got deleted, outside of a few meme shows like School Days that I keep for shits and giggles. I've probably been through about 500 shows on my current computer, given I have maybe 300 and keep a little more than half what I try.

>>90973611

This is Particularly useful for shows like Pani Poni Dash, where I have dual audio and then 12 different sub files on it. How much fucking space do you think a show takes up? I have like 300 shows in that image alone, 218 folders and a lot of them contain multiple shows, for example Fate has everything from Fate/Zero to Carnival Phantasm to Prisma Ilya to UBW to DEEN/Stay Night to Grand Order. I don't get bloated shit, I managed to fit a fuckload of shit on my drive. That image is 1.1TB, with the rest of the drive for other files, and 400GB kept as a cushion and for temporary files. Most of my seasons are only 2GB or so, not 10+ like bloatgirls releases.

Funny anon. 2GB a season is actually plenty for cartoons and anime at 12/13 episodes of 23 minutes a season.
>>
>>90975109
No, the fact that Kissanime is still up is the proof this is just the jews taking down the stuff they own some rights to (cartoons) but ignoring anything they can't profit off of (japanese cartoons). It's a bad sign.

>>
>>90975922
You would never need "multiple new drives". A single $80ish 2TB drive would easily suffice if you're a cheapo.

If you know you'll almost never re-watch stuff then you're fine to just delete it afterwards, but it's a waste. If you keep it you can seed and help other people, even if you don't plan to re-watch it. Worst case scenario is you delete it later on if you get anywhere near your drive's capacity.

Until the streaming sites either start charging or get taken down thanks to DMCA bullshit

I'm not saying ddl is better in that regard, but all it takes is someone to reupload the files somewhere. Streaming is a lot harder to revive after a DMCA.
>>
>>90976223
The only other problem I would have is if I happen to be somewhere with friends, and we spontaneously decide we want to watch something. There would be three possible complications:

1. I didn't bring the drive either because I didn't want to damage it, or because I just didn't bother.

2. The available setup is incompatible with my drive for some reason or another.

3. I don't have it anyway and me and my friends either can't, or don't want to go through the hassle of hopping on a computer, downloading a client, and getting a torrent going.

I think torrenting works best if you're at home. But streaming usually is the better option when you're elsewhere.
>>
>>90973672
Obviously not. They've already tried taking down the Internet ahead of the 2016 US Presidential Elections.

I'm saying that in these consumerist times, we must support any and all official releases by actively pursuing piracy and denying them their rights.

Anon you replied to, after a few hours of searching I found a weird one:

There's a encoder called Cleo, and they have a copy of Kanon 2006 in dual audio at only 100mb or so an episode. It's... weird, in that it has the eng audio and japanese audio, but the only subs are signs and songs subs, no eng sub for the jp audio. Even weirder, they didn't have it available in a torrent form even though a lot of their shit is in torrent form, I had to download the episodes individually through a file sharing site Userscloud. It's really well encoded, it might just be that the series is old and not too much to look at but it doesn't look bitstarved. A 1v1 comparison between it's episode 1 and a 8GB torrent was fairly comparable, the 8GB one was clearly better but not by much. I'll probably just find some decent subs and mux them into my files if I can't stand the eng dub.

Use adblocks, don't click strange links, and check the file extension of every file you download: HINT: .mkv and .mp4 and .avi files are video files, and therefore not going to infect a computer. You quoted half a sentence. The difference between the 3 files I listed and the 2 you listed is that my 3 are JUST video container files, which is why I mentioned them. WEBM are fine too, when viewed offline, but you really don't see shows distributed that way either yet. The worse case scenario is they try to sue you, in which case you can usually ignore them because it isn't worth their time and money to pursue you, they just want to settle. They prefer to send a few hundred letters and hope 1 or 2 respond.

Even then, outside of a few countries with shit laws like Germany you will be fine, piracy is a civil issue and not a "crime", so to speak.

Note that any system where torrenting is illegal will generally also have streaming as illegal, you aren't "risk free" if you're streaming either.

So have we figured out if the .io site is a scam or not?
>>
>>90989378

You can't read, of course you stream.
>>
>>90989392
I just want to know if this is some elaborate low grade version of a hostile corporate takeover before I start using it.

Since some people claim that .io was a splinter faction of the original kiss team.
>>
>>90989451
.io was the original kiss cartoon. Some hacker stole it and now it is used as to bait kids wanting to watch cartoons into downloading maleware.

Do you have anything impossible to find anymore? As a fellow archive-fag I'm trying to get some of the shit that really doesn't get seen anymore, and with 10TB you're bound to have a few obscure pieces.

Some obscure 80s shows no one is willing to bother about Japanese literature classics which is pretty good, lots of Mishima.

You think you faggots are cool when you hoard terabytes of animus using your modern and wide-bandwidth internet access.

Meanwhile, I uploaded about 2TB of various Chinese porn cartoons to the local network on our street via 512 kbit/s internet connection.
Total strangers, I've never talked to, were sending me thankful PMs and calling me to go drink with them.
