Well, I liked Rebecca Sugar's episodes from Adventure Time, when I knew that she was creating her own show I decided to give it a chance, I watched the first one, and it was good, so I continued, from the first season I enjoyed how much of a real kid Steven was, playing video games, cartoons, movies, books, etc, the whole thing seemed more realistic, it was a world of its own, also the characters, Pearl being basically a mom, and Amythyst the older sister was pretty fun to watch, I did not care about Garnet until Jailbreak.
Later seasons focus more on the gem lore, and less on the characters, and I think the emotional moments are getting a bit more forced, but I am still on board.

Even if it was more successful than both previous games combined it was the end of the series. EA wanted 10 million sales but each game prior only managed a few million each. It was basically built to fail from the very beginning so EA had an excuse to remove the studio.

They're both "young", small, share similar insecurities. Amethyst was the first besides Steven to approach Peridot in a more friendly manner. Peridot looks a bit up to Amethyst and likes her sense of humor. They also seem to have each other's back when one feels down. And they simply look cute together.

Don't think Amedot will ever become canon though (honestly no other ship likely will besides established ones like Converse, Ruphire, Lars/Sadie) but I like they're interactions in the show and the fanart.
