I really feel like the series "died" once the Dinosaurus arc started up.

Honestly, I think his "I want to run the world" could have been changed to "I want to run the world's defenses". He didn't need to turn on his friends, he could have just talked to Cecil about potentially replacing local law enforcement (with appropriate permission) so that he could be the first line of defense.

Because as you remember the last time just left it unaddressed a lot of people died.

There aims however were different. Cecil wanted things to continue roughly as they were, and develop based on the powers and wills of those who could control goverments, not ruling the world OR really preventing it from harm, only stopping things that could potentially destroy it and the consequences be damned.

Rudy/Robot wanted to enact his specific utopian ideals. As far as we can tell this does not yet extend to the genocide or mass population control he enacted in the other universe, but we dont know. It appears to be an extension of a modern information state to an nth degree, except with an infinitely powerful "uncoruptable" robot police force in his robot army.

A Viltrumite has most of what Battle Beast does plus the ability to fly, Battle Beast for whatever reason didn't bring a jetpack so Thragg was actually slapping and punching him around the planet for most of the fight. We know his gun can shoot through "anything" and at the least, a Viltrumite.

And that he's able to travel between planets on his space-bike.

So he's probably a glass-cannon speedster while in space. He has some sort of... cosmic equipment that he relies on, but is otherwise high tier.

At the least, he fought Nolan a number of years back, and got out of it, none the worse for wear.

I refuse to believe this is outside of their abilities. Even if it's just white tentacles molesting Mark at the bottom of a cave, I refuse to believe that they can't do this for him considering the implications of their powers/knowledge, as presented.

That said, Mark creating a slightly better world one step at a time is an interesting idea, and I wish Kirkman had stuck with it outside this mini-series.

It would depend on how the time/reality abilities interacted with each other, and what the tentacles were actually doing.

If Mark could have gamed the system by having reality and time(/line) travel, he could have potentially led an entire army of heroic Viltrumites through dimensions, liberating realities. But uhh...

You know, thinking on that stuff is how we get Black Science.
