Ultimates week!
>Philip Nolan Vogt has a decision to make – one that will either save the Multiverse, or damn it forever to somewhere beyond hell.
>Philip Nolan Vogt is only human...
>Extra! At the end of this issue, you will know the name of the Cosmic Jailer. Heaven help you.

Nice.
My ideal movie outfit...
>>90890495
Bruh I'm too hyped for this. This is by far my favourite ongoing and I want to see how Ewing handles the reveal. Imo it seems like the only viable candidate isOblivion

>tfw Marvel won't let it be the Empty Hand even though that would probably be one of the hypest reveals in years
First Dexter Soy and now Rocafort.
DC just does not want Carol to have good artists.
>>90890473
Who's that under Brian?
>>90900362
Most recent Captain Universe?
>>90890403
>At the end of this issue, you will know the name of the Cosmic Jailer
Thank Reed that this hasn't been spoiled yet. Just a day and a half to go.
>>90898354
Legally, it can't be, since they don't own the character. Doesn't change the fact that it's totally the Empty Hand though.
See how his hand is empty?
>>90900539
The empty hand is the reader, and Multiversity makes it clear that he's a cross-company threat. Maybe they can't refer to it as the empty hand, but it would be completely in line with Morrison's idea of the character for him to attack every fictional universe.

Not really feeling the mohawk, but that's hot either way.
Captain Brand Name
>>90890495
We haven't even seen or heard the cosmic jailer yet, but it's amazing how effective he is as a villain. The cosmic horror imagery, the record scale of it, his creepy lackeys and the hatred and evil that is conveyed through the art and the writing, and the delicious buildup that makes it seem as if you should be afraid of knowing who it is. All of this makes the jailer seem so absolute and terrifying, and it was about time Marvel had a villain like that.
>>90901781
How violent was their coupling? Did they atleast invite Spider Woman for the double Marvel experience?
>>90902634
More likely Carol convinced Kamala to give her a double Jess experience.

>>90892639
>>90892663
I liked what Ellis did with her but Loeb and Bendis shat on the character and just made her into Sharon Carter.
>>90900539
Is Carol getting cosmic awareness at some point? She's Captain Marvel, she needs to have it.
I know Monica and what's his face didn't have it but she has Mar-vell's Kree genes so she should be able to do that, even use the nega bands.

I fucking love this cover. I'm using it as my cellphone wallpaper, in fact.
>>90904553
>>Is Carol getting cosmic awareness at some point? She's Captain Marvel, she needs to have it.
That scene implied she already has it, to some extent.
Seventh sense?
>>90904553
Monica has cosmic awareness, it's been brought up a couple of times in ultimates2. In fact, she uses cosmic awareness as a replacement for her sensory organs, since she's made of pure light.
>>90904293

surely it's got to beOblivion. for a while I thought it could beReed, but he wouldn't be corrupting Galactus and then laughing about it.I would be pretty hype if it wasOblivionwith poorPhyla-Vellas his chief minion. Make her a tragic villain, who's consumed with despair but has to obey her master.
if it actually was the Empty Hand I would ejaculate on the spot.
stupid porcupine.
Honestly, do you think Carol would really sell better if she had actually good books?
She has always been a somewhat obscure character and Marvel pushing her so much doesn't seem to work
>>90910956
Maybe Carol will try to pick up the new Quasar instead. She did see her slaughter a whole bunch of Skrull-cousins, after all.
>>90911016
It might be a little better but still skirting cancellation level. Good comics don't sell.
I only read CWII and the amazing captain marvel 0 that were storytimed here. What more can I read with Carol in it ? I see a lot of things posted here that I don't know like >>90904710
>>90892425
I've always been a strong proponent of that theory and really hope that it plays out. A big high-stakes arc surrounding that character is well overdue.
>>90911327
>captain marvel 0
That issue made me REEEEEE so hard.
I don't know who this dopey, overweight blonde dofus is, but he's NOT Joseph Danvers.
Joseph Danvers was a bulky moustache wielding douchebag and he and Carol fought constantly. Her mudercarol tendencies and temperament are part of his legacy.
>>90912090
cont.
They mellowed him out like they mellowed out everything about Carol more controversial aspects since KSD.
>>90910263
Hulk will turn her straight again
>>90912090
Ok what should I read then ? I want more short haired carol

First arc of ANAD Spider-Woman?
Rodriguez art is gorgeous but it's Hopeless writing.
>>90912718
> Not a secret empire tie in
Thanks, god
Also, Foreman was really starting to grow on me so I hope he returns at some point
>>90915196
Issue 7 is the SE tie-in. That we're only getting one issue worth of tie-ins is shocking though.
>>90912090
They kept true to his characterization as an asshat, that's what matters.
#0 was 'aight overall. Pity #1 didn't deliver.
>>90912380
I got on Carol's Wild Ride with KSD's first volume (where she first changes the name/suit/hair) and am here now recc'ing shit. It's a good intro to the Captain Marvel brand itself IMO, lots of callbacks & lorediving. Don't quite get the hate surrounding it, that should be reserved for KSD's 2nd attempt.
Also seconding >>90912549. Her comic's CWII tie-in arc was honestly pretty baller. The final issue especially; rife with memorable metatext moments.

>>90922843
Now i can see the women.
Reminder that Monica would have been an infinitely better Captain Marvel, both in the movies and the comics, due to her personality and unique power set.
But Marvel didn't choose her because either they hate Nextwave or they're afraid of making a black woman the face of Marvel.

What? How does this even work? The symbiote's supposed to be bonded to the host on a molecular level, it's not just a thing you can yank off...
Okay which issue was it of I want to say New Avengers by maybe Immonen or Yu that people were goofing on cause you could kinda see her butthole?
