God I miss SU. I love discussing episodes and talking about the good AND bad aspects of the show instead of just the bad. That's the inherent problems of hiatuses really. Gives us too much time to nitpick problems that, while are very much genuine, probably aren't as bad as they're made out to be.

for some reason that never tugged at my heartstrings like it really should have. Much like Shinji freezing up in EoE, I connect to that. I connect to panic and indecision and fear of failure and pain and most of all shame.
and upon rewatching it, it really is one of the most beautiful episodes in the show. If I had to suggest someone 3 episodes they had to watch in order to try it, that'd have to be one of them, I think.
but I guess the heart of it, being so sure of anything that you would dedicate and/or sacrifice your life to preserve it, for love or principle, has never been something I've had. so I can't quite grasp that pain. I can't even seem to fathom it.

That's the problem isn't it? CN and time, even when not necessary they make shows and the fans wait while pushing the shit nobody likes.
Gem Drill was hated simply because after all that waiting CN made us do people thought that it would be amazing instead of a nice ending to the previous episodes had there not been a hiatus between them.
They need to see reason somehow.

It's hard to pick one moment that stands out as my all time favorite, but if I had to it would be Ruby and Sapphire's reunion in Jail Break. It's a touching moment that shows a lot about how they feel about each other in such a short amount of time: their love for each other, Ruby's insecurity about her worth and Sapphire's reassurance.

Probably 3. Summer of Steven was a great conclusion to a great series of episodes.

Lapis, probably. Maybe Pearl when they give her dimensionality and emotional importance in the episode. Pearl for sure was my favorite character throughout Sardonyx week, because I love Pearl's flaws and how they hurt everyone. I like Lapis because her hair is really thick and I have a thing for thick hair.

Stevonnie. Love her design and what she represents for Steven and Connie. Pure Gem fusion, probably Sardonyx, for the same reason but with Garnet and Pearl.
>Favorite Emotional Moment
The first thing that comes to mind is a super small one—Lars in the island episode opening up to Sadie, asking "Do you ever get lonely, even when you're around people?" Something about Lars is so compelling to me. He's a shit head but only because he wants to be accepted—but until he learns to be himself he won't be. Other than that, Rose's Scabbard was a really good one, with Steven knowing exactly what to say to Pearl. I dunno. I like it whenever the characters cry, because there's always something really significant happening. That's a good way to put it, I guess.

Peridot and Pearl's feud/the Robolympics. That whole episode was great. Peridot is hit-or-miss comedically for me, and when she isn't somewhat cringe, she's really funny imo. Also, Pearl has a tendency to be really cute and funny—When she cheers on Steven in the play and when she's Cool Pearl in the concert episode were pretty great.

This one's rough. Probably "It's Over, Isn't It" or "Here Comes A Thought" for the lyrical songs. For background songs, I liked "I'm Still Here" (Rose's Scabbard end theme), "Peridot in the Rain" (from the peridot rain episode just before the Geode arc) and I have "Watermelon Steven" as my ringtone. Haha.

It could be because I haven't seen the rest of the series lately so the latest best stuff stands out most to me. I love like 90% of everything released, and I'm willing to admit I'm probably misremembering a lot of stuff just because of how long ago I watched it. I've only watched each episode like once or twice, and I haven't done a full series rewatch ever. That's also why I'm very indecisive about what stuff is my "favorite" in the post.

Kinda wish the show would have a song that's angry and bitter(sweet) and a little more gritty sounding like pic/link related. It pretty much entirely contrasts with the shows main aesthetic tho, so I don't expect it to happen any time soon. :/

She's got good potential as a character with emotions if they'd ever let her have any onscreen but as of yet her most appealing thing to me is her design.

I thought she was great in Mirror Gem and then when she was trapped as Malachite, but then they released her and she got used to Peridot and everything's okay :^)

I hope they use her in more episodes.

I have the same problem with Lars that I do with Renaldo. Every time it seems like they're going to develop the character, they're back to being shit the next time they're on screen. I actively want Lars to be a more likable character, but the showrunners don't seem like they do.

I think they are making him more likeable but the problem is it's only to Sadie. That would be okay but there was the episode where she kidnaps him and Steven with no consequences so it just feels like they're forcing him with her when by all means he should hate her, hell he did at the end. So if anything he should be nicer to others, not Sadie.
That would be a good dynamic actually, if he learnt to be nicer to others while he grew more and more bitter to Sadie. It would be nice seeing her face some sort of repurcussion to what she did but I doubt they would do that since tumblr would just bitch and moan and forget all the bad things Sadie did because she's fat and short and can't do anything wrong because of that.

Rose's Fountain, Rose's Room, and the Lion's Mane demo are all pretty great for different reasons. Rose's Fountain has great instrumentation, Rose's Room captures a simple curiosity really well, and the Lion's Mane demo is such a radical departure from the normal music that it sticks out. I swear it has nothing to do with character association, I just really like those three in particular.

It's not even that impossible. Sure, you can't literally be Steven and Pearl doesn't exist in objective reality, but you can get close enough.
Analyze your feelings and find out why exactly you find that sort of fantasy desirable. Identify which childish aspects of your personality you want pampered. Think about what kind of woman would draw enjoyment from playing this motherly role in a relationship and just find one.
Breastfeeding partners is also one of the most normie kinks possible, most women will be down for it.
