The trends are all there, the recent premieres have all gotten less than 1 million viewers, a few times beaten by nuPGG of all things, the discussion of Steven Universe has slowed around the internet, in some cases being replaced entirely by Samurai Jack, as the shills and CN fanboys move on to the next shiny object.

I used to be able to say people pulled way more out of it than was actually intended. Used to have nothing more than an allegory for a gay couple. They've quickly moved in to cash in on their audience though, with quite polarizing results. When they ham up the message and hurt the show's writing, they get all the love of their new audience but when Rebecca does what she was originally doing like with Bismuth, she ends up getting ridiculous backlash from the people who take this show way too seriously. You can really feel the good episodes fading fast in this season and being replaced with hammy SJW messages the fans want to see.

all shows MUST be like this one to be good

I've been watching the show since airing and, while it's always had some problems with voice delivery and overly long monologues, early on the show was pretty great. There's still occasionally a good episode or two, but it seems that the boarders have almost complete control over the episodes they make and each have their own view of what the character's personality and motives are meaning the show is extremely inconsistent in quality and lore/tone.

I can't get SU to grab me at all. I've watched all the episodes because when I'm watching them I usually like them; some of them are actually quite interesting and outstanding. But at the end of the day I don't really care about the characters, the story, the lore or anything else. I've never felt so detached from a show I enjoy in my life. I don't know what it's doing wrong or if the problem is with me, but I just can't bring myself to give a fuck about it.
