Tweedle dumb and dumb

I can't draw, but here's a basic description of some recurring villains from a cartoon I've been planning.

They're a hillbilly bluegrass band consisting of a banjo player, a drummer, and a trumpet player. They're also powerful warlocks, and their instruments are magical tools that can do a variety of things depending on what songs are played with them.

I also sort of inadvertently made them, appearance wise at least, sort of like adult male versions of the Kanker sisters.

Basically just hold your drawing in front of a mirror so that the image is facing the mirror. The refection seen in the mirror will have more obvious asymmetries, and will let you catch things like leaning characters more easily.

I can't draw to save my life so I'm just gonna give a description of them.

Tall asian with water for hair and water powers, along with blue frilly dress.

Average white girl with brown hair, a pastel lotus in her hair, a dress which is composed of a bunch of large leaves and some petals near the bottom, and healing plant powers.

Tan, short, and thicc girl with lava for hair, a leather dress and witch hat, a staff with a glowing orange/yellow gem on top of it, and fire powers.

No. I actual have two reasons for it, one design wise and one lore.

Design wise; Elem is made of elements. He looks best when the only elements that are represented in his default form are the Classical Elements (Earth, Fire, Water, and Air). Having time and space represented would be too much on this complex design.

Lore wise, Elem can't have time and space in his default form because those elements are two of the most powerful elements in the universe, meaning they would overpower each other and any other less powerful element. Elem has can the ability to obtain their powers but he can only do so by getting rare relics.

Elem can transform into other elemental forms by eating the Elemelons which are; Earthmelons, Firemelons, Airmelons, and Watermelons. There are other ways to transform into these elemental forms, like lame ass element rings, but Elem prefers the Elemelons as he loves to eat fruit.

a client at my job wanted a super hero for some kind of product based on a bacteria to purify water so my boss went directly to me and ordered me to draw it

In my opinion, characters sheets stifle me rather than help me create. I personally like to just make character bios up as they go and change anything that conflicts with the story.

This here is Diane, a doting mother of two and wife to a 7 foot-something monster of a man. They are... EXTREMELY happily married, to put it gently. She calls people she likes "deary" and has a silly, but kinda cute Australian accent. Or a vague approximation of such an accent at any rate. She also has sharp toe nails. Like, really sharp. Macy (the one in the middle) wants to explore the galaxy while stopping evil villains along the way. Alongside we have Mindi (the one on the right) is Macy's best friend who Mindi just loves everyone and every species she meets except for those who actually Evil or Dangerous. Alison is Macy's
biggest competition and the most "attractive" one of the group. They have worked together in certain missions throughout the series. I going to say like a combination of Totally Spies meets full-on sci-fi stories along the way.

My issue is that when I draw without thinking i just draw the most generic shit ever. For some reason always either a generic animu boy or a generic anime girl. I have to actually 100% focus to really do anything worthwhile and work has certainly made sure to not let me do that.

To me, it sounds like you have a hard time drawing for fun. And so I once again suggest the pile of shit exercise- or, just draw your "generic shit." There's nothing wrong with drawing lame stuff, so long as you admit it's pretty lame. But hey, if it gets you in the mood for drawing, then that's great. That's all that matters. Sooner or later you'll start drawing for fun one day, and you'll think "...you know, I wanna draw THIS instead today," and suddenly you have something different. Will it be great? Who knows. Maybe, maybe not. But you're drawing, and that's what's important.

Not every drawing has to be something "worthwhile." Hell, if you go by ol' Chuck Jones' advice, "every artist has thousands of bad drawings in them, and the only way to get rid of them is to draw them out."

Sketch, doodle, chicken scratch, scrawl. Just draw something. Even if it's just a sentient pile of shit.

I have a character named Pyhhra. She's a spy with a familiar curse, but also works in an office. Her attitude is different depending on what she's doing.

The reference contains two concept drawings when she was first being drawn, a colored drawing I did on the bottom left, and a realistic commission on the top right.

Why thank you anon! Yes, did it on my free time to practice getting back to animation.
I just recently made her and her companion moth-person Hector Atkins (Pic Related) as part of my creative writing classes. So far, she's a stubborn and usually distant kind of gal, preferring to do things her way which involve some sort of violence.
Design-wise, I gave her an Egyptian pirate feel, because literally I love each aesthetic with the nice contrast between what's considered majestic royalty, and a ruthless dweller of the seas that causes panic wherever she goes.

When your OC gets fanart. It's a good feeling indeed.

A design that's based off of the concept of the public domain character Humpty-Dumpty. Retooled design from what used to be some weird fanart I did for someone else. She's a zombie assistant whose shadow had been fused to a giant salamander corpse that she tried to imbue with some essence of a once-terrifying demon. She can use it to reach places she normally couldn't and can also use it for combat, dealing out painful lashes with it's gills.

Look at their outfit/style and other details (scars, hair, lack of hair, how they dress and what they wear, etc), what does it say about the character?

Having a general idea of the character's personality will make building up his/her tastes and attitudes easier.

I want to write a story/comic about this group of kids uncovering some massive conspiracy surrounding their school.

Not going to go into full details about these but here's a quick rundown on each of them, from left to right

Laura, a 17 year old photographer and aspiring journalist. Recently joined the school in which the story is set. Very intelligent and has a mysterious backstory. She gets accidentally tied up with the three boys when they bump into her investigating the same thing.

Maxwell, a paranoid 15 year old boy who's swallowed too many red pills for his own good. Buys into every conspiracy out there but isn't total crazy. Very skilled at the art of deduction and just generally figuring things out. Also very resourceful.

Sam, Maxwell's best friend but also a bad influence. He's fueled a lot of Maxwell's paranoia but not out of maliciousness. Sam buys into a lot of conspiracies too he's just not as phased by them as Sam is. Lives in the moment and cares little for the consequences of his actions. He's also good at computers.

Ammon, probably the least developed character of the lot. He's a Mormon and is a very by the book kinda guy. Doesn't like to overstep the boundaries but is often forced into Maxwell and Sam's crazy adventures. He only hangs out with them because nobody else at the school likes him but has grown to like and respect Maxwell and Sam as good friends.

The three boys are all roughly the same age, with Ammon being a little younger than Maxwell and Sam being a little older. I also had an idea for a fourth friend, Danny, who died a few years before the events of the story take place, however Maxwell (and only Maxwell) can still see and regularly talks to Danny as a ghost. It's going to be very vague as weather or not Danny's ghost is real (and Maxwell is the only one who sees him) or if he's just a figment of Maxwell's imagination/ a coping mechanism for dealing with the death of a friend.

here's some older sketches I did of these characters from back when I was trying to figure out their designs. These where the "final" designs I settled on before I drew a group shot and coloured it. It also includes a look at Danny who I still haven't fully settled on for a design. I'm definitely inspired by Gravity Falls and Stranger Things to some extent, but also movies like Stand By Me, Super 8 and Goonies, and comedy shows like South Park and, to a lesser extent, the Inbetweeners. I just really like the dynamic (almost trope I guess) of a group of four young boys getting into crazy adventures. That trope doesn't really apply to Gravity Falls but the paranormal aspect of my idea definitely does. I just really like how well a group of characters who are all young boys can work off of each other. But I don't want to just do the same thing as everyone else that's why I came up with the idea of one of the boys being dead, how that would affect the relationships and decisions ect.

Though even the fact that the main character can see dead people kind of gives off Paranorman vibes, but no idea is 100% original. And I'm happy to admit my inspirations and influences.

I've debated the pros and cons of both and ultimately I think it's all going to be one continuing story, just because I'd like to to appeal more to an older audience than a younger one and this is a good way of doing so. I want the story to get pretty dark. Not like edgy teenager dark, but more psychologically dark. If that makes sense.

I do have a lot of ideas for side characters and antagonists. Keep in mind these are all very tough though. I'll start with antagonists;

Most of the teachers at the school are going to be antagonists to an extent, but obviously the head teacher/principle would be the main antagonist. My idea for him is a sinister slim middle aged man with very calm feminine mannerisms. Because of this he's able to fool parents and the public into thinking he's very sensitive and caring when really he has very dark ulterior motives regarding the kids at the school. Motives that I won't go too much into for now.

I want the school to almost represent a totalitarian government, not unlike The Party in 1984. Of course unlike in 1984 the characters would be able to escape simply by going home at the end of each day, so because of this I want the school to be some sort of private school which is somehow managing to branch out beyond that and start gaining influence over the town and possibly even the entire state. So in a way the entire system in place at the school is sort of like an antagonist of sorts.

I have many ideas for side characters but I won't talk about ALL of them

Patty and Stacy
they're Laura's friends, Patty is basically just going to be a very kind motherly figure who will be built up to be very likeable and then will be killed off for the purpose of drama and shock but not for no reason. She'll figure out something out but her trusting nature will get her killed before she can get this vital information to anyone of importance.

Stacy an interesting one but before I go into her I should first mention Chad. Yes Chad and Stacy. It's a reference to /r9k/ memes. Chad will be a bully character and he'll look how you expect him to. He could get any girl he wants with the exception of Laura. This infuriates him and his main goal is to just be a cunt and win over Laura. I should probably try to develop him more but I kind of like him as a light comical antagonist.

So Chad is a typical Chad basically and Stacy was going to just be a typical Stacy but then I had an idea for her which makes her a lot more interesting. So her history is basically that she used to be a normal quite nice girl with a group of friends before getting corrupted by Chad. She was his girlfriend for a time and at that time she abandoned all her friends and hung out with the popular cunts. When Chad broke up with her she lost all her popularity and all her old friends didn't want anything to do with her either, so she ended up with no friends until Patty befriended her mostly out of sympathy. She's now a pretty depressing shell of her former self and hangs out with Laura and Patty but Laura doesn't really like her much either. I don't know how or if she'll tie into the main plot at all.

I have a lot of other ideas for side characters, mainly parents of the main characters and other kids around the school. Some will be more important than others.

Normally i would post the characters from my webcomic here but i've been a bit busy with my job

a few days ago, the director of a bunch of waterparks where i live told my boss that he needed help with a commercial for a water cleaning product

first i have to draw a super hero based on it but now he changed his idea and wants a frog mascot so i animated this
