Addressing the 4th wall is a plead to the producers or creators of the TV show. Since the show wasn't being aired Jack/Aku have been in limbo. Trapped in an eternal battle where neither of them can win, because the story didn't provide and ending. Aku is asking for an end to this story, and end to his suffering. (he's so very tired) The story can only end with the hero winning, which from Aku's perspective, means the story won't end until he's Aku's won. After killing a human being, Jack is no longer innocent. I think it's possible, the story won't end with Jack's success, or rather will end with a pyrrhic victory.

Aku has resigned himself to the idea that Jack will never go away, the same way Jack has resigned himself to knowing that there's nothing he can do to kill Aku once and for all.
He will only defeat Jack the moment he's dead.

As you can easily see, Aku doesn't think too highly of the people who directly talk to him. They're usually beggars, brown nosers or more incompetent minions. The daughters of Aku strive to be something better, to make themselves worthy of his presence. Only after they have Jack's head on a stick will they show themselves before Aku. The statue is merely a reminder of who they are fighting for.

God what's wrong with nu-Aku's reds. Am I mad, or are they a completely different shade to usual?
I put it down to the shitty new voice at first, but the more I look at the new Aku the more off it look even visually, I can't tell if it's some of the facial expressions just being different or if it's the shade of his eyebrows / beard being too deep.

Thankfully everything else is great, but Aku is really rubbing me the wrong way every time I see it, which is a shame.
